I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I have a file folder full of Realband seq files and previously I had muted the guitar tracks. I use these when we have three guitarists performing. Realband provides the rest of the backing track.
I also keep a folder of the same tracks with the guitar tracks un-muted for when I perform alone. About a week ago I had gone through every seq file and made sure the guitar tracks were muted. Tonight when I went to copy the tracks to my portable drive I found that when I open the file with the previously muted guitar tracks, the guitar tracks are now all un-muted!! I have always muted the guitar tracks and then saved the file. I never had this happen before that I noticed.
I don't perform often so I can't say that I really ever paid attention. Any thoughts? Am I missing something?

Please disregard my last post. I may have been hasty. I am finding that some seq files still have the guitar tracks muted.
I need to investigate this further. If I find something I will re-post what I find. There were still a couple that I felt for sure should have been muted, but now I am not sure.

It depends, I would think, on whether you saved the file after you muted it or not.
If not, I could see why the files are opening unmuted. My DAW does that. I can close it after saving and upon reopening that same file, everything is exactly as I left it..... time line in the same place, record active on a track, etc....

Funny, my experience and recollection is that "mute" does not save when the file is closed. Guidance was always to simply set vol to zero.

Mute setting does save with the file, that's for sure, IF it is saved in seq format.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
