Hey, all! Sorry for not being around much lately -- I've just been busy, and distracted. I hope you're all well.
Got a slight technical prob. I'm working on an extremely simple song (b.g. for a quick video). It's basically only one RealTrack (900: Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming, FolkRockWaltz Ev 150). I'm using _CELTWLZ.STY as a base, swapped out the RT there for the one I wanted, and bumped the tempo to 180.
My problem is, I've got two held chords (one G/B... after a bar with bass run, and one F... after another bar with just F) that, when played, are stopped chords -- one quick hit, and a palm mute. Even when I go to Chord Settings and use the dropdown menu (which still says "Hold Chord"), it ain't a held chord.
Help? Thanks.
(I am patched up to 384, and, yes, it is the fixed version.)

Tom,
Since your only problem is the held chord, you could use another acoustic strum RT for where that happens - the held chord should sound pretty much the same for most strum acoustics. Put it on a different track muted except for that measure (and mute the regular one for the measure)...
... as a workaround...

Tom, since you mentioned you are up to date on builds, that leads me to ask if you are up to date on what really matters here, the RealTrack patches, including Shots and Holds. At some point awhile back, there was an update that added shots and/or holds to many RealTracks that did not (yet) have them. I think they got to the point where most do. Of course, that doesn't speak to the particular RealTrack you are using.
[If you get a full version of BIAB each year, my comment does not apply because you would have the cumulative latest of all the RealTracks with Shots and Holds.]

Well, that's interesting.
Following floyd jane's advice, I put in another track, using RT 1426 on Strings. (The 900 was on Guitar.) I set all the rests in the song to ".g", e.g., "C.g", "Em.g", etc., so they would only play the Guitar track.
Then I set the two bars that I wanted to hold as "G/B...g" and "F...g", using the menus so I'd make sure that the Guitar track (900) was excluded and the Strings track (1426) would play a held chord.
Remember that I mentioned a bass run in the original post? Well, the last part of that, now "G/Bb.g", played a stopped chord just before the G/B.g, which at least did play correctly.
And the "F...g" played normally.
Finally saying Fuggit, I went back to my original arrangement, and just substituted 1426 for 900, and it works fine. Doesn't sound quite the same, not quite what I want, but close enough. Annoying, though.

I just tried the RT 900 and F... also gave me a shot rather than a hold.
I suggest you freeze all tracks on your original SGU/MGU file and send it across as an attachment (with a brief note) to support@pgmusic.com so that they can hear what's happening.

Hi, Tom - The original RealTrack you selected unfortunately does not have holds/shots created for it:  You can always check by looking at the "Holds" column in the RealTrack picker. The description from the help system is as follows: Holds - This lists whether that RealTrack supports Shots, Holds, and Pushes. If there is a number there (other than a blank field), then they are all supported. If there is an "n"this means that they are supported, but you don’t have the Holds_## files in the RealTracks\Library\Holds folder.
