Hi. I saw your other post about the Sienzo product that is defunct. I tried that product years ago and was not impressed. In my opinion, the Audio Chord Wizard in BIAB is far superior.

Having said that, none of these tools is perfect. For my use, jazz, they have some trouble recognizing chords. For other genres, it is more accurate. What kind of music do you plan to use?

Give it a try! PG Music offers a 30-day unconditional return policy. I believe that any version, even the 'Pro' most basic one with the fewest RealTracks, has the same base program that includes the ACW.

Duncan,

In addition to what Matt has said, here's a 10 minute video that explains how to use the ACW. It's put together by PG Music and would be worth watching.

ACW can be hit or miss. I have had experiences where it was fantastic and I was able to create a tempo and chord map which allowed me to insert BIAB Tracks to accompany a file that I only had as an mp3.

However, other times results were not so great...

Seems that is the current state of the art.

Yes, well said. The ACW does as well as any of these tools, plus it has the ability to import the chords and tempo into BIAB.

The Audio Chord Wizard is great if (1) you want to import the chords into BIAB (2) however it can be a bear to "line up" the measures for the chords. I don't use it anymore.

An alternative is Riffstation (.com) it correctly detects the chords in seconds; however you can't export the chords into any software. The cost is about $60.xx

A 2nd alternative is www.play.riffstation.com, it works the same and it works on songs found on YouTube (hundreds); it's great and free. Definitely try it.

it is an interesting resource but I found when you pick something that is not a big hit song it says "We can't get that right now because too many people are rocking out on Riffstation." Seems like it has a common song playlist that it works with and not every song on YouTube.

There is another thread on Riffstation in the Off-Topic Forum, where discussion of non-PG Music products is more proper.

EDIT. Never mind, it seem to be gone. And it appears one person only is posting about this product in multiple forums?
