I'm not quite sure how to address this issue. There are a lot of new contemporary Gospel songs coming out that aren't in the styles that I see in BB. I can get a few to work, but I'm looking for a better way to work these praise songs up for church. User tracks might be a way but I thought I'd see what others are doing in this area to build a library of new styles, not found in BB Wyndham

Wyndham, In addition to Ray's thoughts ... Under "Styles" on the top menu, there's a "Style Wizard" that can be used to create styles from midi files. This might be worth your while investigating (if you can find midi files of as style you'd like to create). Regards, Noel

Don't forget Norton Music's aftermarket styles. There are a few hundred of them and you can demo many of them here: http://www.nortonmusic.com/styledemo.htmlSelf serving plug by Notes

Wyndham:
When you say "new contemporary Gospel songs", if you give us a link to a couple of examples, we can get a better idea of what you're looking for.
Further to Noel's idea, on the dropdown he shows in his screenshot, you'll also see "Make a hybrid style". Sometimes all it takes to fairly closely match the song you're after, is to "mix and match" different instruments from different styles.
Good luck! LLOYD S

Wyndham are you talking about all of the styles or just the styles in the Gospel section? I ask as a lot of times I find that styles are also well suited for songs out of their genre or sections. For instance a country style can be used for a light jazz song or visa versa.
Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

I have adapted several style genre's to get what I was working on. The midi option might be worth looking into as we write our own music and midi capture would give a tighter style. I 'll try to post one soon on soundclick to give a flavor of what we've been working on. One of the popular Gospel's is "Oceans" which I haven't started to work on but have the chords.
Many of the others are adaptable like "Back to the Heart of Worship" It's not so much as a specific song but a generalized look at the newer work that's emerging and seeing what others are doing. Thanks Notes, there's a lot of good stuff over on your site. Wyndham

When you said contemporary gospel...I was thinking black gospel chiors kinda thing..... then you mentioned "praise" and figured you were really meaning contemporary christian like praise & worship or CCM.....
There are a few new styles in the CCM category that tend to work well.... also do not neglect looking at country and rock styles as much of CCM fits that pretty well.
I think basically two things defines modern CCM aside from the lyrics.... the guitar parts, generally there's not much "fancy" picking in it.....and the drums.... the drums tend to be all over the place not necessarily holding down the groove. Finding the BB/RB styles to fit that can take some doing but, have a look in the style list. There's some fairly workable stuff...
One thing I noticed in listening to this genre is they tend to also use acoustic guitars and go back & forth from light acoustic to fully blown rock crunch throughout the song.
I'm part of an online collaboration band spread all over the lower 48 states. We're in the process now of completing our first song/project. I wrote the song in BB and worked with another musician who has BB to iron out the music. Now, we're all contributing our parts as live musicians..... 25 tracks and counting..... with 9 vocal tracks at last count.....and there's 2 new tracks to add today. So make that 27 tracks.
So...another option is to play some of those parts with live musicians.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Pay Pal is fine.
You get instant download delivery too.
When the PayPal account is approved (usually in a few seconds) you will be redirected to another web page with the download link, temporary username and a temporary password.
You will also get an e-mail with the same information as a 'fail safe' measure.
