I'm having some problem using ACW effectively. Have a friend that sent me a guitar MP3 he made but 2 things happen with his mp3. One is that ACW is picking up chords that are not there, maybe a harmony on an up strum or some thing so when I send it to BIAB I get more chords than should be there.(I'm just starting to use this feature) and his timing will vary from an avg of 80 bpm +/- 6-8 bpm maybe from 76 60 to 84 over the length of the song.
Do I just edit out what looks like extra chords in the chord area and how do I tighten up the loose playing.

I had the exact same problem as you with ACW. The nice part: is getting the chords into BIAB. I did edit out chords in ACW or in BIAB but was a nuisance. I now use Riffstation to find /figure out the chords in seconds. http://www.riffstation.com/However (1) the cost is $60 (2) it does not have the ability to printout the chords/measures or import into BIAB. It does however have the ability to slow the tempo down to allow you to write the chords. There is a trial version. Cheers

My experience has been this with the ACW -
I assume you are using the function "Open audio with chords" in Version 2014
- in the ACW, set the correct Key for the song
- if the timing isn't tight, go through the song and set EVERY bar line, paying special attention to set BAR 1 exactly right. That will make BIAB play the song correctly
- ignore the chords in the ACW for now
- when you've finished setting all the bar lines, make sure when you click "OK - Send to BIAB" that you also click on "Make a tempo map in BB...", then Close.
- Now back in BIAB, revise the chords, correcting the ones you know are wrong. The ACW does a great job but, as you said, there could be extraneous notes that it thinks should be in the chord.
- DON'T FORGET TO SAVE at this point
