I've been toying around with this one for a while - (when I can get near the PC!)
I guess most people go to church hoping for a blessing, hence the popularity of Healing meetings - nothing wrong with that.
Some go out of a sense of duty,enjoyment, or because they're made to (thinking of children here)
I just wondered how many go with the express sole purpose of praising/blessing the Lord ?
Anyhow, this is a song I wrote a while ago called
"I came to bless the Lord!"
Mixing and mastering still rusty, and voice showing signs of wear and tear, neverthless I hope you like it if you get time to listen on the Soundclick link below.

Hi Mark,
I liked it. Good lyrics and instrumentation. Nothing wrong with your voice except it sounds like you are off in a distance. I realize that you said the mix was raw, so you have probably noticed that.

Hi Mark.......
Good song, good concept.....I think that once you refine the mix and master process, you'll have a keeper. I too noticed that the vocals seems distant, lack of depth..

You write some good music brother. Love the lyrics in this one, very well done.
The only suggestion I have is swapping out the midi guitar parts with RT's.

Nice tune. It is still a muddy mix. Too much going on with the piano and other rhythm instruments. Song has potential. Nice melody too.

Thanks very much everybody - you're all so encouraging. I'll have another look at the mix to see of I can improve it. I really do appreciate constructive comments, they are so helpful. (Only trouble I have with RTs is that they never line up with midi when I transfer to my sequencer.)
