I have previously upgraded to SampleTank 3. As I install my BIAB 2015 files, is it best to install the files contained in Hi-Q Instruments - SampleTank - Sets 1-2 (Windows) in:

[*]My old ST 2.5 Instrument directory: \IK Multimedia\SampleTank 2.5\Instruments, and then import into ST3, or
[*]My new ST 3 directory: \IK Multimedia\SampleTank 3\SampleTank 3\Instruments?
Does BIAB 2015 support ST3?

Hi Law Tunes,
As I understand it, ST 3 is 64 bit and BIAB is 32 bit. Under normal circumstances, they won't talk to each other. However, they can be made to interface by use of a program called JBridge. I believe PG Music are going to be offering JBridge for around $10 as a Christmas special.
I'd get on the chat line and ask one of PG Music's sales staff about this. (My knowledge is limited.)

Need the actual PG techno geeks (programmers) to weigh in here and for the record my explanation is not official or final but from my use/research
The BIAB Hi-Q sounds are built in ST2 format; hence, nothing more than high quality ST2 sample sets/ sounds. Moving them into ST 3 will not improve them and they won't be "automagcially" called up by BIAB using ST3: even with Jbridge installed.
BIAB calls up ST2 synth to play the Hi-Q sounds, as a matter of fact BIAB calls up the DXi version of ST2 (automatically) not the VSTi version no matter what default plug-in VSTi/DXi synth is listed as your default in your plug-ins in pull down (e.g., TTS-1, Dim Pro, Kontact, Forte DXi, Garritan) or in "Opt.>MIDI/Audio Drivers Settings," and no matter what VSTi/DXi synth you already have selected for a that given track. That is, as soon as you change a tracks patch to a Hi-Q patch the synth for that track gets changed to ST2 DXi.
Now, if you simply want to USE the BIAB HI-Q samples in ST3 import them using the "Import Legacy Instruments" function - then simply point to the parent folder "Band-in-a-box" that contains (bass, Drums, Guitar, Piano, Strings, Synth and World sub folders (i.e., where you installed the HI-Q 1 and 2 sounds)
I keep ALL IK Multimedia samples/instruments (ST2 and ST3, Miro, and BIAB sounds, and Sampletron and, Sonik Synth, etc. ) under same PARENT directory makes finding stuff so much easier.
