Hello, I'm new in BIAB. I just received the UltraPlusPAK three days ago... I have beeen exploring BIAB (directly from the USB HD) and everything is OK with it... Today I tried to open Real Band for the first time (directly from the USB HD) and I get an error message saying:
"... RBSeq32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I run the setup (from the USB HD) several times but I get the same messasge every time I want to open RB.
I haven't received the drive yet, so I am not set up as you are for 2015 .. I'd suggest installing RB to your C: drive and running it from there (at least as a test). Leave the realtracks/realdrums on the external drive during setup if space is an issue.
To start troubleshooting; Does RBSeq32.dll exist in the directory you think you are are running it from? It should be in the Realband folder.

No, RBSeq32.dll is not in the directory.... Now, something that I forgot to mention is that I' haven't registered/activated my BIAB software yet, I have 30 days to try it before I have to activate it, correct? Could it be that the problem with RB? (If so, It wouldn't make sense...)
The fact you don't see RBSeq32.dll in the expected folder tells me it did not install to that location correctly.
And no, activation should not matter (you should get a popup if it did), it sounds like your shortcut link is possibly pointing at the wrong directory.
Try using Windows Explorer (or File Explorer) to navigate to the correct Realband.exe file in the external drive folder. If it shows up there it should work for you.
The problem with external drives is the letter for the drive designation can change. So if your shortcut points to K:\Realband and when you plugged the drive in again it registered as G:\Realband it can lead to issues.
Like I said; if you see the file Realband.exe in File Explorer you'll likely be able to run it. .

but is the file missing from the real band folder on the PG supplied external HDD? if so simply downloading and running the current RB updated will install a NEW copy of that particular file (dated 9/19/2014 and is 119KB)
- so try running the update they try running Realband

Thanks for the tips Rhav... but no, the only rb set up file is in the usb HD... the RBSeq32.dll file is not showwing in my "this PC" ... btw, I'm in windows 8.1

on top of everything rharv said to check and just to confirm:
You are saying that the HDD supplied by PG did NOT have that .dll in the X:\Realband folder (x being your external USB drive letter) on that external HDD, irrespective of whether you installed RB or not on your PC.
Also where on your PC DID you install Realband to? give us the full path

Larry, sorry ... I cant find any update dated 09/29/2014. If you are referring to the update dated Dec 5, I already dowloaded it and I get the message "your version of real Band does not appear to be properly installed. You must have at least Real Band 2014 for this update to work" Real Band is installed only in the original USB HD (drive "D")
The .dll is dated sep not the update - you are right the update is dated Dec.
now let's go back to square one. Are you saying that you tried to run real band from the external hard drive by going into that directory on the external hard drive and running realband.exe?
and when you do you get the error saying that file is missing?
and when you check inside the realband directory on the external hard drive that file is indeed missing correct?

ok it looks like that DLL file is missing like you said and like realband tells you iwhen it tries to run. and since that DLL file is missing I can see where the update would fail to install as well.
You need to contact pg so they can get you a copy of that DLL file, that's all you're seem to be missing I think to get you up and running. I'd be happy to send a copy of file but I'm off my computer now - I'm actually doing this from my phone
did you get download links for your copy of BIAB when you ordered?
If you did I why nit download the full install and reinstall that way

that particular DLL file is inside the real band folder on your ecternal hard disk drive and another copy would br inside the realband folder where ever you installed it on your PC assuming you installed it on your PC

What Solidrock said. (I didn't even check to see if yet another copy was lurking in yet another place!) if there is a copy there then you need to COPY it (don't MOVE IT) to the "x:\realband" folder (x being your PC HD and/or the external HDD realband folder(s)
If you are missing even that copy of the DLL- your HDD is probably missing more than just that one file and you will need to talk to PG and I would CALL PG, not email.
While we wait - you never did answer
1. Did you get links from PG to DOWNLOAD all the purchased files or not - you should have? If so the only download file you need right now, to fix this ONE problem is
"bandinabox_realband_2015_full.exe"
You can download that, run it, and it will install COMPLETE Realband file set on your PC (as well as BIAB).
2. Have you tried to run RB from inside the Realband folder on the external HDD "D:\realband\realband.exe" (assuming "D" is your external HDD) as rharv alluded, as I asked, and as Soildrock mentioned?
The issue; he is running Realband from the root of the drive; that file needs to be run from the Realband folder. His screenshots pointed out the obvious.
If he runs Realband from the Realband folder the program will most likely be able to find the location of the .dll that it can't find now.
Not sure how you got the exe file into the root, but put it back into the Realband folder. If you read my earlier post my question was 'is the dll in your Realband folder?'. You are not running Realband from your Realband folder and you have to or you will have all kinds of issues.
