Ptit lu all... Question: Je viens de m’apercevoir d'un phénomène que je n'avais encore jamais remarqué. Si le Master (la sortie Maitre si vous préférez) du morceau est trop élevé, le vu-mètre tape logiquement dans le rouge, mais là où je m'attendais à entendre un sale écrêtage bien moche, j'entends plutôt un effet de pompage comme si un compresseur suivi d'un limiter était placés sur la tranche master de la console. Pour confirmer mon impression, il m'a suffit de pousser volontairement toutes mes pistes à 127, et là, Ô surprise, j'entends bel et bien une compression plus ou moins punchy selon le style du morceau. Si je baisse une piste bien prédominante (dans mon cas, un mix stéréo basse/batterie importé), les autres pistes prennent soudainement quelques dB de présence en plus. C'est carrément flagrant. Bon, c'est plutôt une bonne nouvelle quant à la protection de notre matériel, mais le problème, c'est que je n'aime pas beaucoup quand mon matériel, justement, n'en fait qu'à sa tête sans que j'ai le moindre pouvoir sur ce qu'il est censé exécuter pour moi. Or, en l’occurrence, je ne trouve aucune info sur ce sujet dans le manuel, et ma curiosité maladive ne m'a permise de rien trouver dans l'interface ou les menus de BIAB qui m'autoriserait à penser que je puisse avoir un quelconque contrôle sur ce paramètre (sauf à faire gaffe à ne pas taper dans le rouge, œuf Corse...). Bref, suis-je le seul à vouloir quadricapiloscinder avec BIAB ou bien vous aussi, vous avez déjà rencontré ce problème et, qui sait, y avez également trouvé LA solution? Merci d'avance à tous ceux qui auront un petit caillou à apporter à l'édifice.

Salut Spawn-X, On peut dire que tu es dans une phase BIAB ... - Options - Préférences - Audio -> Cocher ou décocher "Activer limiteur" (je reconnais que c'était bien caché ... toujours la complexité de BIAB, mais c'est pour celà que c'est configurable dans tous les sens) Je trouve que le limiteur est vraiment très génant dans les phrases alternées music/voice parcequ'on entend beaucoup trop les régulations d'écrétage d'une piste au détriment de l'autre et vice-versa ... Sur un mouvement d'ensemble musical homogène je pense par contre que c'est une bonne sécurité. Je me dis en même temps que PG pourrait présenter dans le même soft, le choix de deux ou trois interfaces différentes Basic, Easy, Expert ...(comme Magix samplitude) pour ne pas décourager les nouveaux utilisateurs rebutés par un accés trop difficile, sans parler de la présentation d'un autre age. Oui, c'est clair, en pleine phase BIAB ... Merci du tuyau, mais hélas, c'est pas ça. J'avais bien trouvé cette option via le manuel PDF, mais je l'ai laissé de côté car d'après le document, elle ne concerne que le CoyoteWT (page 359 du BB2014manualFR.PDF). Du coup, ton message m'a fait douter, et je viens de tester. Effectivement, aucune action sur les RealTracks, ça pompe toujours et de manière bien cradingue en plus que le limiteur soit activé ou non.

Je viens de re-tester, et je te confirme que chez moi la fonction à cocher "activer limiteur" via le chemin d'accés : - menu général - Options - Préférences - Audio -> Cocher ou décocher "Activer limiteur" est fonctionnelle pour un enregistrement micro audio + accompagnement BIAB (différence flagrante) -> attention, il ne s'agit pas de la fonction du même nom dont tu parles "CoyoteWT (page 359 du BB2014manualFR.PDF)" et qui ne concerne que le Wave Table ou le Coyote forte ! En fait, je crois que tu maitrises vraiment en MAO mais que tu as besoin d'un marabout (tu dois avoir de mauvaises ondes avec BIAB ...) Cordialement boowoo3

Salut Spawn-X, Toute forme de plaisenterie mise à part, ça ne marche vraiment pas chez toi ?  Le limiteur est fonctionnel chez moi pour les pistes midi, pistes realtracks et la piste d'enregistrement audio ... Amicalement boowoo3

Non, ça ne marche pas. Le limiter semble bel et bien rester actif quoi que je fasse.
Je n'ai testé que sur mon projet en cours qui contient surtout des realtracks et une piste audio importée.
Je vais tester sur un nouveau projet et j'en dis plus.

A priori, (je peux me planter) le limiteur est fonctionnel pour une piste audio en enregistrement live actif (pour équilibrer les éventuelles différences de niveau entre la piste audio et les pistes realtracks).
Un test fait sans un réel enregistrement audio avec un micro ne donne rien chez moi ...
Il y a une autre fonction de limiteur dans les préférences realtracks mais c'est pour équilibrer le midi avec les realtracks.
... pas vraiment intuitif tout ça ...

Je suis finalement parvenu à un compromis.
J'ai abandonné l'idée de trouver le moindre compresseur ou limiteur quelque part dans la chaine, et j'ai pris le parti de baisser progressivement le niveau du master du titre ainsi que le volume "TOUS", jusqu'à trouver un seuil où aucun pompage ne soit audible.
Ça m'oblige à augmenter le volume d'écoute ce qui déséquilibre mon utilisation d'autres logiciels dans mon home-studio, mais au moins, je ne suis plus perturbé par ce pompage à la noix.
Ça, c'est le compromis pour un usage interne de BIAB seul. Mais pour le travail final, j'exporte les pistes indépendamment les unes des autres directement vers Cubase qui est de toute manière bien plus adapté sur le plan mixage et travail du son. Et comme de toute façon je ne garde que 2 ou 3 pistes de BIAB à chaque projet (les pistes jouant des instruments que je ne maitrise pas comme le piano par exemple), le problème est limité pour l'instant.
Je reste quand m^m largement frustré de ne pas trouver de solution définitive à ce problème, mais surtout, de ne pas en avoir l'explication.

Et moi, je ne comprends pas pourquoi je n'ai pas ce problème, et frustré également (mais moins que toi puisque ça marche, de ne pas avoir d'explication rationnelle !
