I am having trouble determining which style or Realplayer will work best for certain types of fiddle tunes. Your help will be appreciated. Here are several of these types of tunes -
Rags - "Red Apple Rag", "Beaumont Rag", etc.
Polkas - "Jesse Polka", "Champagne Polka", etc.
I will go to Fiddler's Companion website and accumulate a list of the different fiddling styles I am interested in. After that, I will try to identify the BIAB styles/Realplayer that sound best/most authentic for these different styles.

Well done Perdido. I'm a fiddler playing Scottish, Irish and Bluegrass music. Reels, Jigs, Hornpipes, Breakdowns, Rags, Waltzes and Polkas. Band in a Box/RealTracks and Styles is extremely deficient in this area of fiddle backup. Excuse my cynicism, But do you think PG Music read this Wishlist and perhaps adjust their content or upgrades accordingly?  Perhaps we could get some feed back from PG Music? Cheers.

Jazz piano stride works brilliantly with rag tunes up to 150 or so tempo.
For faster fiddle tunes try using western swing.
Celtic waltz piano is fabulous as well

Furry - When referring to a realtrack, please include the PGmusic number for that realtrack. The PGMusic realtrack information does not include an option for sorting the contents by type of music or type of musical instrument. Providing that option would greatly simply the search for usable realtracks.
Most musicians I know only play several types of music, sometime just one type of music. BIAB users would no longer have to wade through all those realtracks to find what they are looking for.

My tip for the initial topic: Put "fiddle chop" in the search field and see if you fancy the result for some variety.
The pattern of those is always on beat, so no need to worry about SW versos EV there.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
