Help! I'm getting a dialog box: "Track exceeds track capacity - need to reduce the number of bars/choruses in song and try again."
The song is only 46 bars long, 1 chorus. I can't play it, just get this message, which also appears when the song is first loaded.
Searching via google "site:pgmusic.com" plus "track capacity" finds zilch. What is causing this error, which doesn't seem to have been reported elsewhere.
2004 is AFAIK the first 32-bit version, and is reported to run well under Wine in Linux, which is what I'm doing. Prior to this I was happy with BIAB 12, as I mainly use it for song writing and generating play-along midi files for jazz practice. But BIAB 12 is 16-bit, and was problematic in Wine.

Welcome to the forum.
This is a user community, and I think the likelihood of finding any other users here running both BIAB 2004 and Linux is quite low. I've never heard of any such error message, thus I believe yours is a question best answered by PG Music Support. Give them a call tomorrow morning. They are in Canada on Pacific time.

The track capacity is actually huge and shouldn't be exceeded by any type of song. That error could happen in an error situation, like a corrupted song file or some peculiar bug with a certain style or song. So the main things would be if it happens on every song or just one song. For example, does it happen on any of our demos?

Wow, Peter, up early!
Other MGU's play ok, both demo files and files made with BIAB12. This song played at first. A corrupted file sounds likely. Could be a problem with Wine also, which does a fair but not perfect Windows emulation.
In order to hear the bridge of the tune I was working on, I deleted the first half of the tune, and then it played.
