My Antivirus (Avast) won't let New Age Pianist run as it claims naplay.dll potentially contains the Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] virus.
Can I safely ignore this and report the file a a false positive?

I've never had a problem with viruses on any PGMusic application; however, I've not run New Age Pianist. My guess, though, is that it is a false positive.
If you are not sure, maybe go to one of the online scanning engines and check it with a different program to see if they flag it.
Even though the program may have started out virus-free, if you have ever gotten a nasty virus on your computer, then that makes other executable files on your computer potential targets for additional infestation just by being present on your computer at the time (which is why it's a good idea to leave your installation files on a separate removable disk).
But I would just verify with another virus scanner. False positives do happen occasionally.

I totally second John's comments. Probably OK, but do a little further investigation first, just to make sure...

Just saw this post I have New Age Pianist - my current AV is AVG no issues (but I also tried Bitdefender - again no issues).
The "naplay.dll" is (in my case) dated 6/20/2007 at 3:52 AM and is 73KB (actually 72.5KBs when you look at properties).
But like John said make sure it is a false positive or that you haven't gotten a larger infection.
If in doubt - disinfect and clean it, then delete/uninstall it, then re-install from PG SOURCE disk

Upload the file to virustotal.com, look at the results of the 50 or so different virus scans there from different vendors.
If you then feel its safe, make an exception in avast settings to ignore it.
