Though I searched the forum, but I could not find any relevant information on how to record MIDI into BB.
This is what I aim to do:
Using my MIDI-enabled guitar, a Roland GI-20 together with a Roland UM-1, I want to input MIDI notes onto the melody or soloist track, saving time compared to entering notes by clicking on the relevant spot for each note.
I`ve seen it done on YouTube, but without any explanation on how.
I see input today, but there seems to be too much information recorded, so that playback is impossible.
I do want to be able to record bending notes (mostly when I write a trombone line) and vibrato for reed instruments and the flute.
Any tips?

What do you" mean too much information recorded so that playback is impossible"? So you were able to record from your MIDI guitar controller? If so what information is there? You should see it in the MIDI editor; I'm not at my music computer to show you were it is.
You may need to thin out a lot of MIDI CC data to get proper playback depending on what the playback problem is.
I do a lot of MIDI recording via my guitar, wind, drum pad and keyboard controllers. But I do my entire recordings in a DAW. Sonar is my DAW of choice. My thoughts are you will better much better results using a DAW, RealBand comes with BiaB, than using BiaB. You will have a lot better control using a DAW.
So if you can give use some more information like what data is being recorded, what your sound card and computer specs are and what MIDI sound source you are using we can better help you as all of these can cause playback problems.
