Anyone figured out how to incrase volume of Metrone from its default Velocity value over 127? increasing this value in the Metrome settings defaults back to 127! Thanks for help.

Can you right click on the volume slider and boost it.

If it's this volume control you are using (Velocity - see attachment) then 127 is the maximum value. It's MIDI data.

I never us the metronome.... I use a drum kit. Easier to hear and sounds better.

MIDI velocity ranges from 0 to 127, so max velocity peaks at. That being said, the volume you get could be related to the synth you are using (some synths have their own separate volume control. Perhaps try turning down all the other tracks and turn up your master volume to hear the metronome better.

Also, depending upon your sound interface, you may be able to make some adjustments there. For example, My FastTrack Pro has a knob to change the mix between the sound coming from the computer (via USB) and the sound coming from the inputs (my keyboard or microphone, for example). Adjusting this knob can increase the relative volume of the metronome (coming from the computer) and the monitoring level of what I'm recording with the microphone.

So there may be some other places to look to achieve your goal.

As mentioned; 127 is max but there are other tricks .. like actually Create a Click Track with a drum kit.
I have a file called Click.Mid that's 100 measures of sidestick on the quarter notes. Works great! You can also just create a track of quarter notes on the sidestick and copy it the length of the song. This allows you to use the methods below.

Trick One -
Insert PGPeakLimit on the track (yes even though it is MIDI; if it is a softsynth, PGPeakLimit can go in one of the lower FX slots) and boost the output slider.

Trick 2
This is most often used here; convert the click to an audio track using the sidestick as the instrument (Db2 is the note usually)
Then you can easily use any audio FX to boost, route it to it's own subgroup or output or employ any number of other tricks to make it louder.

/I love hearing a drummer say "I need the click louder" .. then making him cringe when I do

Using a click in a live setting taught me lots of ways to accomplish how to get it like you need it. PGPeakLimit is the easiest and quickest go-to method I've found in RB.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

It's probably safe to say now;
PGPeakLimit was the first plugin PGMusic staff asked me to test. This was 'pre-beta testing'. I think it may have been one of the first they tried, as I had to install a special version of PT to try it on (if I recall correctly). I do remember having to wait until everyone saw how cool it was to have realtime effects in PT .. I was brimming over with excitement.

Back then (around PT 6 or so) I was so excited to have a plugin working in PT.
Ah, those were the days... not.
We have so many cool tools available at our fingertips now, it's amazing. But this little gem is a fine (and handy) plugin that has stood the test of time.
