I save a song's rhythm tracks in one version. Then I transpose the key, and change the style. I generate the song, and both the saved version and the new version play simultaneously.
So I hear 2 Real Tracks combos playing the song at once.
(Swing & Funk, Waltz and a 4/4 style, Swing & Latin, Rock & Swing, Rock & Country etc.)
I can mute the "new" style instruments and hear the old style playing.
But I have no way to get rid of the old style (which the dialog box told me had already been removed).
I've had my 2015 Mac Audiophile version for 3 weeks, using it all day, everyday.
This has happened 10 or 12 times, at least.
In every instance, a WAV file (of the original version) of the song is generated to the desktop. Also generated is a bt1 file (battery check file?).
What the heck is going on?
I'm calling tech support and asking for a new copy to be sent to me. This must be a defective version. In 17 years of using BIAB, I've never had this problem.

The "old version" your hearing is most likely a WAV or AIFF file that has the same name prefix as your song file. For instance if you have a song file named "Whopee.sgu" and "Whopee.AIFF" the audio file is automatically loaded into the audio track and played whenever you play the sgu file.
You can mute the audio and not hear the AIFF file or rename the audio file to something different from the sgu file and it will not load when the sgu file is loaded.

Steve, I agree with Jim. It sounds like your BIAB files are being rendered to audio and then that audio is playing along with the BIAB file. How are you saving the file? What format are you choosing? Regards, Noel

Hey Jim & Noel,
Thanks for the info. That audio track feature is new for Mac 2015 (so I'm told). It isn't in my 2012 Audiophile edition, so I was unaware of the the possibility you outlined. I hope I have it cleared up, now.
I was Exporting the Song as an m4a, but I should've used the Save Song as an m4a for iPod. Apparently, Export does the auto load thing.
I'm used to exporting Finale sheet music document layouts to desktop as pdf's. I had no idea that Exporting the Song is a piggyback auto load feature. I wondered why BIAB had what looked like 2 of the same functions in that pull down menu.

Don't know about the Mac version, but in the Windows version if the base name of the BIAB file is the same as the generated audio file and in the same folder, it gets auto-loaded when you launch the BIAB file.

That's what was happening. Mac never had that feature before, so I was not expecting the auto load. Now I know what to do to keep that from happening.
