Which default path are you meaning? Depending on which one, it may or may not be able to be changed.
If you are meaning the path where SGU/MGU files are saved. While the path can't be saved specifically, there is an option that will get BIAB to open in the last-used directory. It's under "Preferences". (See the below image.)
Thanks for all the responses..... My main purpose for BIAB is to create lead sheets from midi files.... So I always go to " import chords from midi file " and it always goes to "bb", I was just hoping that I could change it to the directory where I keep all my midi files. It would be a lot less keystrokes

My 2 cents. I've created lots of folders for my songs. I then use Save As and point to the folder I want it in. PS: I often choose save to Fav folder, then maneuver to the desired folder.
