So I've had an issue with the BIAB for iPhone app in which it downloaded one song and crashes whenever I try to download any more. I finally got a hold of someone at support on the phone and when I explained what was going on he said, "sorry, there's nothing we can do if the app doesn't work." Uh, I realize it's a free app meant to work with the purchased desktop program, but why are they even offering it if they can't support it?

It might hold some useful information.

Many, many times. I followed all instructions to the letter. I successfully downloaded one--and only one--song, after which all other downloads attempted by all the ways listed--browser, Dropbox & Google drive--end in the app crashing and closing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a number of times. Each time the same thing happens: the first song I was able to install is the only one that will install after which all others fail. The support tech had one suggestion which was to delete the word "rendered" in the m4a file name such that the m4a and the song file would have the same name. That failed as well. Support tells me that the phone app was developed by a small 3rd party with which PG Music support have no communication. So "there's nothing they can do." Does this make sense to you? I think what mystifies me the most is why they don't enable iTunes file sharing in the app instead of relying solely on WIFI transfer. This would have provided an easy bullet-proof way of getting the files to the app.

Not sure who you were speaking to, but in all of our tests the app works fine. It is developed in-house by us, not by a 3rd party. Please post a Dropbox link to a file that won't load, ie a zip of the sgu and m4a file, and we can see if we can duplicate your problem.

If you want some help here, please provide some information, such as what device you are using, and which iOS version.

Thanks so much for responding, Peter. All the song files and the rendered M4a files were created with BIAB 2015 for Mac created on a Mac mini running Yosemite. My phone is a brand new iPhone 6 plus running iOS 8.4 (12H143) which, according to auto update is the latest version. I also have 4gigs of memory left, so it shouldn't be a storage issue. The one song within the linked folder that successfully downloaded is "A Kiss To Build A Dream On". When I've uninstalled then reinstalled the app, that song will again download and save, but no other, regardless if I try a single song, a range of songs, or a zip file with everything. The result is always the same: the songs will show up in the directory listed in green; I select the song or songs or zip file, click "save selected" then select the folder to which I want to save the song/songs (and it makes no difference whether I choose the root folder or a created folder); I click "save", it pinwheels for a second if one tune, or a very long time if I select the zip files (during which it counts down the percentage of loading). If it's a single tune, after the second of pinwheeling the app crashes. If it's the zip file when the loading registers 100% it will pinwheel for a few seconds, then crash and close. I have gone through this process many, many times now, always with the same results. Here is the link to the Dropbox folder with all the song and rendered audio files: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ag0kwc4rzdrl5qz/AACtWQD9z8UEON99-FDxFyYia?dl=0 Your timely attention to this is much appreciated as my intention to use this app on the gig was one of my motivations for upgrading to 2015 and for getting the plus size phone rather than the regular iPhone 6 as my wife did. This will save me from having to take my laptop to the gig, yet still be able to see the chord chart as it progresses through the tune so I can find my place if I get lost (which seems very easy for me to do when I don't have real musicians there with whom to communicate). Thanks again.

By the way, I forgot to mention that I've also installed the app on my iPad (an iPad 4 running the latest iOS) and I get the same results on my iPad as well: it will not download any additional songs after the first one.

Just to let everyone know, I have been able to get all my songs loaded onto my iPhone. The problem seemed to be that I had frozen all the tracks and on some songs this had created a quite large .mgu file that crashed the app. Once I unfroze the all the tracks the song downloaded. One caveat is that they would only download via the browser method (entering the ip address of iOS device into the browser of the computer on the same network from which the songs will download). Downloading from Dropbox or Google Drive still does not want to work as it doesn't seem to download the m4a file along with the .mgu file. But I'm a happy camper as I now have a workable app on my iPhone that I can use on the gig. Kent, in tech support, was very helpful in nailing this down, so thanks for the help.

Let me just suggest one more time that PG Music enable iTunes file sharing so one can simply plug your iPhone or iPad into your computer and transfer files that way, instead of relying only on a WIFI connection.
