Hi! I have a problem with BIAB 2015 after upgrading to windows 10, The application want´s me to reactivate it, I have tried but cannot reactivate BIAB.
Next, please manually delete all files in the ticket folder found here:
C:\Users\Public\Ticket
*If there are "trial" tickets in that folder, be sure to delete those as well
Finally, launch Band-in-a-Box by right clicking on the bbw.exe file in your bb folder or a program shortcut on your desktop and select "run as administrator" to launch the program.
** If you are prompted with a message asking whether you would like to restore the license, say 'no'. Once open, go to Help | Activate Band-in-a-Box and re-enter your serial number if needed.
Callie, have you considered making a new sticky about Windows 10 issues? It could mention this fix and anything else you know about BIAB being compatible with Windows 10 (including which earlier versions work) and also touch on any other issues such as the Coyote update needed for version 2014 as posted by Andrew.
Perhaps make space for this sticky by removing the "BIAB 2015 is Here" post?
Right now, the first thing I look for on many music-related sites is info about Windows 10 compatibility. Just a thought.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
Interestingly, my laptop didn't give me any problems with activation (unless it took another license behind the scenes). I just upgraded my desktop last night (alas, before these instructions came out), so I'll have to see what happens there when I launch BIAB or RealBand.
