I purchased RealBand 09 and it came with a two disc set of Realtracks 20-27. I seem to be able to locate 55 RT isntruments available for me to use. Does that seem correct? Thanks

No It doesn't.
The only options I see are:
RT- 1
RT - 1 through 6
RT - 1 through 12
RT - all
What did you purchase exactly?

Thats what it came with Silvertones. The Real Band Pro 2009 CD and a two disc set that says it's Real Tracks Pak sets 20-27. That's what it said. My wife ordered it from Amazon.
I'm really liking the sound of the real tracks. I wish I had an acoustic piano and violin though. And looking through the other sets of real tracks I don't see one with a basic acoustic grand piano, the only ones I see are stylized for jazz or something esle.

Not necessarily. That picture looks like a legitimate box to me. All of the Real Tracks and Drums sets will cost more than $129 not counting the program. I think they sell the program alone for around $49 and each RT or RD set is about $29 each and then they have different package deals. The hard drive Ultrapak is something like $4-500 so no you don't have it all. This is a user forum, most of us can't quote you the details of the different packages available.
Look on the home page and call or email PG Music tomorrow and ask what you have. If you got the program plus a few sets of RT's and RD's for $129 that seems like a fair deal and if you want more RT sets, check out the demo's and decide what else you may like. If you buy a RT set, they give you a download link and depending on your connect speed, you could be playing it within the hour.
Real Band is a great program that sounds amazing with the Real Tracks and Drums in addition to being a midi sequencer. Of course the sound quality of the midi tracks strictly depends on the quality of your midi synthisizer and the sky's the limit there. It goes from $40 for the Forte DXi, to $389 for the Ketron SD2 to several thousand for a high end keyboard or sound module.

If you buy the Pro Band in a box and realband package here it would be 129 dollars. That includes:
Band in a box 2009, Realband 2009, realtracks set 1, realdrums set1, stylesets 0-3, solist set 1 and melodist set 1.
So all in all, I think if you get realtracks sets 20-27, then that is imo a good deal. If you are missing many features that I just named, then yeah it might not be such a good deal. Still I think it doesnot seem that bad, although I might have bought the megapack for 20 dollars more and have more styles and stuff...

Thanks Gang. I don't know why mine came packaged that way. By the way it did not come in the box shown on the site. It just came as a shrink wrapped cd case with the three cd's in it. I just wanted to make sure I got what I was supposed to. I think I'll contact PG and see. I can't seem to find RT 1 anywhere. Thanks again for all your help.

Thanks Silvertones and everyone. I requested a refund from Amazon and will send this one back. By the way, it did not come in the box listed on the site. I only received the disc case wrapped in giftwrapping. Once I get that taken care of I'll purchase it here. Thanks again

The package I just mentioned don't have that many rt's though. Only one. The mega pack I also mentioned has 6 but different from what you have now. If you did not find it yet: Here is an overviewpage for all BiaB packs. Biab packages

Seems I do have the tracks in question after all. At least when I hit "start, all programs, band in a box" there is an option to uninstall Real Tracks 1 and Real Drums 1. I'll get this down sooner or later.

The Real Question here is not if you have the right stuff BUT is this a REAL program or a pirated version.
Call PG Music and ask them if their selling some weird version through Amazon.
There could also be Malware installed with it. Don't mean to sound paranoid but it has happened to me. Long story
