A Real Track, Super Midi Track, Regular Midi Track, or a USER Track

Any of the above would be awesome!

Currently Olivers Free Comp Real Track (Comping and adding occasional(sp) single lines) is a start but I mean much more than that.

One that goes into a Solo Guitar Improv after the Chord Melody Statement.....

Just Guitar by itself ala Joe Pass etc etc. single line improv with chords, walking bass etc etc etc. Solo Jazz Guitar......

Is this possible?

Thanks,

BBB

BBB: I had to put my sun glasses on with "all" the bold.
Reg text will do just fine.

I'm sure others will jump and ask what ver of BIAB you're using.

Cheers

Pick a track that's not in use, right-click on it, then click on "select best soloist real tracks". You'll find a selection of guitar solos to choose from.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your reply but I am not referring to a single line soloist..........Im familiar with the Soloist option.

What Im suggesting is ONE guitarist that plays both chord fills and single line fills .........He is doing a "SOLO" Performance.....(by himself)

The Guitarist is "comping for himself" and also inserting and playing single lines also......

This is ONE instrument only no bass, no drums, no other instruments period........

the guitarist may play a walking bass line also.........but there is only a single guitarist, nothing else.......mixing single notes and chords together in a "Solo Jazz Guitar Performance"

The word Solo here meaning one player not a solo.....

Hope this helps.......BBB

A big +1 for RT, SuperMIDITrack and regular MIDI track.

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Yes, we get that, I'm sure. Those are listed as "Solo-accompaniment" guitar RT's! If you can't find any in your set, then you need to look at which RT's you still haven't bought, for they do exist already (like this one, for example: RealTracks Set 148 : Solo Accompaniment Jazz Guitar).

Hi Icelander,

These arent bad at all!(RT SET 148) Thanks I wasn't aware of these.........Its definitely a start for solo guitar.......Seems to be just available in Waltz or Bossa but still pretty good............

Hopefully they will add to these and get more complex, but still worthwhile The 2 guitar one is nice for learning........

Thanks a Lot!

You're welcome. It's all about knowing what to look for cool

Note that the names are without the hyphen for the guitars, unlike the piano sets, so here's the complete list of available guitars of that kind in case you missed any:

Guitar, Electric, SoloAccompaniment Bossa (2 tempo versions)
Guitar, Electric, SoloAccompaniment Jazz (3 tempo versions)
Guitar, Electric, SoloAccompaniment JazzWaltz (2 tempo versions)

You could also try the "FreeComp" guitars for a slightly more rhythmic alternative:

Guitar, Electric, Rhythm BossaFreeComp (2 tempo versions)
Guitar, Electric, Rhythm JazzSwingFreeComp (3 tempo versions)
Guitar, Electric, Rhythm JazzWaltzFreeComp (2 tempo versions)

And keep in mind, just because something is named Bossa or Jazz, doesn't mean you have to only use it for Bossa or Jazz! wink

Yes, that's a great idea, and definitely possible. I'll ask my brother Oliver about that. Thanks.

And he'll say, like I did, that this is already there.
Having said that, more of it wouldn't be bad at all, possibly also in the acoustic department, or non-jazz genres.

The ones we plan to make are the ones requested, which are "soloing" guitar parts, but played in a chord solo format

cool!
- I don't suppose the same concept can be made for pianos, then, while you're at it?
