Graham is doing a six part video series where he spends only 10 minutes doing 6 parts of a song mix so he mixes the entire song in one hour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oevrCIJb_I (video #1). Spurred on by Eddie's CD completion, I started EQ'ng ( see Graham's video #3, EQ). I have to admit that I just can't hear much of a difference (or any) when doing these small adjustments. That's what happens when you wait until you are 58 to start and do this type of stuff. In any case, check out Graham's stuff, you may find a few good tidbits here and there.

I purchased one of Graham's video tutorial sets and it was well worth the money. You can find the same info on YouTube but his tutorials are put together in such a way to make it quick and easy to refer back to specific areas you may need to refresh on when you are doing a mix down.

Hey guys, Another great resource is a book by David Miles Huber, Modern Recording Techniques. We used that at college and it's excellent. Not hard to get into at all. Highly recommend it. Best, Nick One Flight Up | Recording Studios Sydney
