Hello
anyone got a clue on why BIAB won't start?
RealBand works ok.
Have reinstalled BIAB but no luck

At least in the USA, I haven't heard any reports of BIAB users having trouble with Windows 10. Perhaps the sound output settings need adjustment or drivers, but no one has complained yet about BIAB not starting.
Long shot: have you tried to right-click on the shortcut for BIAB (not the taskbar, the one on the desktop) and select Run as Administrator?
Also try navigating directly into the /bb folder and start the file "bbw.exe".

Sounds like you need assistance from PG Music Support. One last try: was this a known good download that worked before?

I am running BIAB 2015 on Windows 10 with no issues....so it does work. I'd try PG support they have always come thru for me

BIAB won't start? RealBand works ok. Might be a blessing in disguise ? No LOL, can you get the Task Manager up with Ctrl-Alt-Del or right click on the task bar > Task Manager and see if it is running bbw.exe in Processes but not showing on screen, if so End Process and try again. Also maybe right click bbw.exe > Properties > Compatibility. Try disable any Antivirus then try. Right Click on bb folder > Properties > UnCheck Read Only > Apply ? ? ?

- yes, it did work ok on Win7
- tried compatibility tests, ended up incompatible ...?
Maybe I should try to uninstall the complete package, will it remove all styles/real tracks then ?
If this does not help I guess I need to knock on the door of the support team ...

Try and generate something in RB and see if it does, as it runs realband\data\bbw2.exe in the background to generate.

I did a complete reinstallation in a new bb-folder.
The old one kept for reference.
One or more files from these caused the problem:
default.ali
defaultcolors.bbc
default.16
intrface.bbw
cdwriterXP.ocx
cdripperX.ocx

I'm curious, for future questions: did you do a fresh install of Windows 10, or an upgrade from within Windows 7?
