Hi all,

here is my entry to the NewYorkBrass Remix Competition:

Surprise - https://soundcloud.com/sergiomarcello/surprise-newyorkbrass-remix-competition

Title: Surprise
Style is _GRVFLK2.STY (PopCountry Ballad AcGuitar[85RS])
RealTracks in style: ~700:Bass, Electric, PopHalfNotesPush Ev 085
RealTracks in style: 1945:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm GroovinFolk Ev 085
RealTracks in song: ~1068:Trumpet, Soloist SmoothJazzCool Sw16 100
RealDrums in style: NashvilleEven8^1-a:Sidestick, HiHat , b:Snare, Ride

The only material provided for the competition was a brass track - no backing tracks.

In this song I play the lead e-guitar while Biab did a great job with the trombone track.

Please have a listen and let me know what you think. If you like it, please hear it again and again and.. :-) ( yes, I *DO* really need your plays on Soundcloud !! )

Here you can hear the other submissions: http://soundcloud.com/groups/newyorkbrass-remix-competition.

Have a nice listening,
Sergio

I really liked this from the first beat. You managed to get some great sounds in the mix.

Re: "The only material provided for the competition was a brass track - no backing tracks." Do I understand that you were supplied with a brass track and you added everything else. Is that correct?

I really liked the arrangement. Good luck!

Hi Semar. I really enjoyed the track. Not what I'd expected and very swingy. Cheers.

Sergio, Good arrangement. The chord progression fit perfectly. There are a few spots where the lead guitar should come up some. A good listen. Tom

Thanks VideoTrack for your nice comments. Yes you understand right, the only audio material provided was a nacked brass section, all the rest was arranged by me using an e-guitar for the solo and BiaB :-)

Hello Tom,
thanks for listening and yes, the lead guitar should come up ofter, I just did non want to make the song too 'crowded', since the trumpet plays the first role. But you're definately right.
