I have noticed that there is a big , new update 2016 for Windows and am quite annoyed that the Mac -users again have to wait many months before they can get this update. Shame on you PGMusic, that you can not manage it -like nearly all other software producers - to make the update for the two systems at the same time. And there is still no RB for Mac.
I would like to know how you can explain this behavior.

I've noticed over the years that it's been standard practice for a while now that PG Music release new Windows versions in December and new Mac versions mid-year.
If my sums are correct, that means from previous version to new version in Windows is 12 months (Dec. to Dec) and for previous to new version for Mac is also 12 months (mid-year to mid-year).

But why shouldn't they do it like this? It's the same 12 month waiting time for all users, and it gives PG Music developers time to focus on each version with more attention. If they had to handle both versions at the same time they would probably require more programmers and it might come at the risk of more bugs appearing because their attention would be more divided. Would you feel the same way if the Mac version came first? Maybe think of it this way... you get to hear what's coming a few months in advance and have time to save your money for the upgrade and to get really excited about the release.

This year we released the Mac version in May which is 5 months later than the Windiws one. We are closing the gap in release time, but this was a major release in the Mac with lots of new things added. The gap in features is getting smaller, as will the gap in release time with future releases.
