I am using the latest issued version of 2016. I have tried to consolidate the audio sections in a track a number of times and each time it has resulted in a fatal closure of RealBand.

If RealBand has a Fatal Error, does it produce an 'error log' file, or some form of on-screen report?
I understood that this was introduced in 2015 release.
Do you get any error messages or reports?

Just tried Consolidating an Audio track and could not duplicate any error. What type of track (mono or stereo) and what is the Bit res and Sample Rate of your song?

Hi Jeff,
Both Mono and Stereo are affected. Bit Rate 16 bit and Sample Rate 41000 (CD Quality). I did have some problems during testing with the soundcard resetting itself to 24 bit 48000 sample rate. But that has been sorted out.
The Error Log Read Out is as below.

When consolidating audio, I've noticed more likelihood for problems when:
1) I've made a LOT of edits that consist of dragging snippets in both directions
2) accompanied by deleting large sections

Hi Pat,
This problem happens with a single consolidation.
However, I have checked back on the working of the Consolidation Command in sevaral previous versions and I find that in the 2016 version something is wrong when the new Right Click Menu > Tracks > Consolidate is used. Luckily, the existing Edit Menu > Tracks > Consolidate Command does work.

Lyn. Are you hi-lighting the entire track before trying to consolidate? If not it won't work properly. In order to hi-light the entire track use CTRL-A then use the consolidate command.
I've even consolidated an entire group of tracks at once. If just one of them turns out not to be completely selected it will mess up.

The issue with Consolidate not working when done from the Right Click menu, will be fixed in the next build.
