Hello Everyone, I'm trying to pick up some good bass patterns for a 3/4 jazz instrumental version of Greensleeves, but the walking bass on all of the styles I've tried so far doesn't seem to fit very well. Does anyone have any tips for getting walking bass to fit into 3/4 time in BIAB? I'll attach the files if I can. Thanks. Sorry, it appears that only some of them have awkward sounding bass, others are pretty good. Not sure what I did there. Are there any hard and fast rules for choosing Styles and Realtracks/drums to fit 3/4 or other non-4/4 timing? Thanks again.

This is a good question and I'll be interested in other answers. Just checking, are you aware you can force a RealTrack to play a more 'simple' arrangement (an option by right-clicking on the name in the mixer)? Give that a try.

Might not a midi or midi supertrack work in this situation giving you the advantage to fully edit the midi?

This is pretty much unrelated, but I'm taking double bass lessons and the teacher came up with bass lines totally different from any in the program. The possibilities for bass lines seem almost endless!

Have you the Poll Winners Real Tracks? I've had no issues with the Ron Carter bass. Ray

Go to the Style Picker and enter < Poll Winners > into the style filter. Should bring up the Real Tracks Styles of Kenny Barron, Ron Carter and Lewis Nash, three of the best in jazz. Ray
