I finally got BIAB2016 downloaded  I bought 'UltraPlusPAK' and all things seemed to install fine on top of BIAB2014 'UltraPlusPAK'. BIAB2016 runs and plays on windows7 x64 HomePremium without issues. I checked the option "what addons do I have" and it said I am missing the following: Soloist Disk Sets : 12 Andy Laverne Mainstream, 13 Andy Laverne Pentatonic, 14 Jeff Lorber Fusion, 15 Jeff Lorber Guitar Am I supposed to have those with the 'UltraPlusPAK'? If I am; then how do I get them? (They don't appear to be in the download webpage) I followed the instructions on the webpage that popped up after purchase, which says this: Information for customers who are upgrading from an earlier version of Band-in-a-Box.
We have provided you with all of the RealTracks installer downloads available. However, if you are upgrading, you don't need to download/reinstall those RealTracks sets that you already have.
If you purchased the 2015 UltraPlus or EverythingPAK (last year), you would already have all the RealTracks Sets up to #227.
If you purchased the 2014 UltraPlus or EverythingPAK, you would already have all the RealTracks Sets up to #205.
If you purchased the 2013 UltraPlus or EverythingPAK, you would already have all the RealTracks Sets up to #187.
If you previously purchased a 2012 Ultraplus or EverythingPAK, you would have all the RealTracks Sets up to #154.
You only need to download the RealTracks Sets that you are missing And therefore only downloaded the missing realtracks. I think I've done things correctly, but I am not sure why it says I'm missing some soloist disks, or what I should do to get them if they do in fact belong to 'UltraPlusPAK'. Other than that, to those who ponder getting an update or not, and worry about some of the errors that several forum-threads describe; the installation went butter-smooth here and the program seems to run as supposed (knock on wood I've only just opened it, so haven't yet done much in it. But at least it seems the worries were unnecessary )

As far as I recall, the items you are missing were released in bonus paks some time ago. Often material that is supplied in bonus paks is a once-off event (which is why it always pays to install new versions of BIAB directly over the top of existing versions).
It might pay to contact PG Music about this directly.

It's possible this is an old error I just haven't noticed before. I started with BIAB2012 on the current computer, then updated to BIAB2014, and now BIAB2016 ('UltraPlusPAK' every time) So perhaps I missed something along the way. I rarely use BIAB generated solos, so maybe this has no serious impact anyway

I thought I had the same "problem"
When I contacted PG they informed me that those soloists sets were never free or issued as part of nonus packs and as per a royalty agreement with those artists can only be purchased separately

Those soloists have always been a separate purchase, since the time they came out (many, many, many years ago). There was one year, if I recall correctly, where set 12/13 (or it may have been 14/15) was offered as a bonus in one of the additional purchased bonus paks, but that was only one year and I don't believe it was repeated. If you want them, you can purchase them +++ HERE +++. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they are offering a bundle price for all four (I'm pretty sure they did when I purchased them), but hey, call PGMusic and see if they'll make you a deal. Otherwise, they are $29 each. BTW, these are MIDI-only soloists - not RealTracks.

Based on my (usually anal) record keeping:
Jeff Lorber was offered twice (but never FOR FREE)
Once in the BIAB 2004 - Mega 22 pak Soloists sets 14 & 15 (Jeff Lorber Fusion Soloist & Jeff Lorber Screaming Rock Guitar/Synth Soloist)
And again in BIAB 2007 as part of the 25 Pak that year.
It seems Andy Laverne was only offered once but also as part of BIAB 2007 add-in paks.
BIAB 2007 had three extra "paks" that year a 12 pak (free), a 17 Pak ($15) and the 25 Pak (cost $25 and you got both the 17 pak AND 25 Pak for that $25).
The 17 pak had the two Andy Laverne sets (Soloist Set 12 & 13) and as mentioned the 25 pak had the two Jeff Lorber Soloists sets (14 and 15)
I also have a copy of the Jeff Lorber and Andy Lavern soloist installers in my BIAB 2010 install folder but I have no notes in that folder on those sets being part of the extra add-ins/"paks" for that year. So it could be that I duplicated the installers there and forget why (may have been part of paid for add-ins that year or not)
