Greetings, I frequently load Standard Midi Files into BIAB. I then mute the melody track and play the melody on the sax using the notation feature. Often times the notation that I see does not follow what I hear when unmuted. Especially if there are bends in the notes. Is there a way to get more accurate notation that will note more precisely what is heard?

Saxy831,
I'm not understanding your question. Is the midi information on the melody track coming from the standard midi file or somewhere else?
What you seem to be saying is RealBand is somehow changing the standard midi file information but you did not say how the program is changing the information.

Yes. The melody information is from the SMF.

The quick answer to your question is no you will not get a more accurate notation in BiaB or RB. You will need a full blown notation program to do what you want and you will most likely have to add your own pitch bends and other nuances to your score. If you don't have on Musescore 2 is a very good free notation program: https://musescore.org/

Thank you for the reply. I did download that musescore program. Musescore has a soundfont called fluid that I really like. Is it possible to load it into BIAB and RB? If so, how do I do it? I need step by step please.

I do not use VSTis in BiaB so I am not the person to give you instructions. I would start a new thread asking how can I use Fluid.SF2 in Biab and RB and I'm sure that someone can give you the right answers.

You'll need to either find the Fluid .sf2 file from MuseScore, or re-download it from the internet. Then you'll need to find a soundfont capable VSTi. Two that I have used (not free) are Synthway's Fantasize soundfont player, as well as SynthFont. There may be others (to include free), but those two should work fine and aren't very expensive. You can then set your default VSTi to the soundfont player, and it should respond to all 16 channels and play correctly (assuming you are using a General MIDI based soundfont. Once you bring up the soundfont player interface, you will have the opportunity to select which soundfont you want to use. Go to wherever you saved the .sf2 file and select it. BTW, my favorite GM soundfont is the Reality 31.9MB GM/GS soundfont, which you can find here, or you can find it in other places via Google search.
