I am sure this has probably been suggested before but I think it would be great if you could make a marker in your songs which specified something like small fill, medium fill, big fill, giant fill etc etc, This way at certain points in your songs you could have larger (or smaller) than the standard fills at song sections. They would need to be recorded so that they worked with the brushes as well as stick drum styles. Maybe something similar could also be arranged for drum endings. I often find I have to make a cymbal roll dying away in my DAW for BIAB songs. It would be nice if we could also set a marker for a long or short cymbal roll for endings made in BIAB itself.

I am sure this is something which could be managed and it would give the drums a great deal more potential for variety.

+1 very good idea !
it's a good idea because it would add musicality to BIAB arrangements.
Via F5 key, we could select the length of the fills, for example normal/medium/short.

Right now, the strongest fill is moving from a B to an A part marker. But I like this suggestion.

+1. I haven't played with them yet but the 9 horn section demo sounds like it has a few horn parts suitable for fills.

Also if you enjoy working with midi you might want to check out Bob Norton's site, Nortons Music as he has some midi styles just for fill-ins.

Intros, fills and to less degree endings are presently weak areas for RealTracks.

It would be great to implement this idea then 5 years after your first request. Overall I think it would give the RealDrums much more variety and potential.

you're right funkycornwall.
It is really a great idea because it aims to imit what a real drummer in a band would play. That would be a professional feature.
Seems not to be a priority for PG people.
So, wait and see...

Just upgraded BIAB and due to lack of use I need to refresh myself and learn the rest. Taking control, editing, adding new fills, intros and endings is a real need in BIAB and I'm wondering why PG Music have not addressed this yet? It's essential if you want to make something original. At the very least PG Music could record a selection of growing intros, endings and fills as part of their realtracks.
