I have upgraded to BIAB 2016 but am now having trouble transposing and exporting tracks. When I select a style (Real Tracks) for a new song in BIAB, input chords in the default key of C and the default tempo, and then hit the transpose icon to say D, and change the tempo, the chords update on the screen, and play in the correct key and tempo within BIAB. However if I then export the individual tracks into my DAW, they are still in the original key (C) and the original tempo. I have tried saving the file before exporting. What I did notice was that when I select the Transpose icon, the full list of available keys comes up, but both the Transpose And Set Key Signature, and Just Set Key Signature options are checked with no option to select one or the other. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Jeff, Welcome to the forums. It sounds like you use Sonar. A combination of how Sonar works and how BIAB 2016 works results in this. Have a read through this link and see if it solves your problem. Regards, Noel

Interesting... I never knew this or ran into it and I use Sonar.
My process however, is as follows.
I create the song in BB, change the tempo, and key as needed, save the song in it's final configuration and close BiaB.
I open Real Band, load that same file I just saved in BB and it renders the song tracks using the real tracks. I'm now working in the audio realm.
I export those tracks, one by one as audio wave files into Sonar.
Sonar will play them back exactly as they were exported from Real Band.

Herb, this was one of those 'perfect storm' events. SONAR Platinum had a setting turned on to import .WAV files as acidized, meaning they could be pitch-changed. At the same time, BIAB (and maybe RealBand, don't know) had the feature to export .WAV as acidized files turned on by default. The result was confusion by all of us for whom Drag 'n Drop had always worked.
The whole little mess did serve to educate everyone that this is possible to do. Very cool, actually, if you want it.
My understanding is that BIAB changed to 'off' by default. Therefore it doesn't matter what SONAR does, because you need both ends 'on' for this to work.
[This is another one of those posts where, if you were to read it to someone who does not work with digital music, they would say "What on earth are you talking about?".]

The solution is simple as explained by PGMusic:
Go to the Render to Audio File window in Band-in-a-Box (by going to Audio - Render MIDI to Stereo WAV File), and unchecking the "Include ACID info" checkbox.
I had the problem with Sonar Producer 8.5 but did not alter anything in that program.
