This is a new song titled "Visiting Beautiful Kyoto."
It is of Japanese style. The instrumental version and the vocal version are in one song.

https://soundcloud.com/hirokata1121/visiting-beautiful-kyoto

It is a kind of the sister work of my previous post "Invitation to Impressive Scenery".

I originally made this song more than a year ago. This time, I fully reviewed it, added the vocal part with Japanese lyrics written by me, and made it reborn as a new song.

I hope you like it.

Its video version is on Youtube. The pictures of beautiful scenes in Kyoto are on it.

https://youtu.be/XigvST7nlX0

Japanese lyrics and its English translation are also available there (on video and in comment).

*** Song Summary ***
First part (Instrumental):
Key=C, Tempo 80
Style: PNOMOOD2.STY (PianoMood2 -Gentle Soundtrack st)
Second part (Japanese vocal):
Key=A, Tempo 80
Style: ARPORK34.STY (Orchestral arpeggio 3/4)
Vocal: Mew (Vocaloid)

Sonar X3 was used for assignment of VSTi instruments to MIDI tracks and final tuning of the song.

The very sweet vocaloid voice worked quite well over the gorgeous imagery.
The music also works very well and not understanding Japanese makes the vocal mysterious and very mesmerizing. smile
Keeping good command of English may be enough of a challenge for me but if there was a free translation/lesson site I'd probably give it some use.

Beautifully done....yes...I like it.

Good luck with your goals.

Hiroshi, the video version really brought out the song. With the mixture of your song and all the images from Kyoto it makes for a very beautiful view and pleasant listen. Mew was the icing on the cake. I enjoyed it.

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you like the voice of Mew. I myself like her voice as well because it is so natural and beautiful. I think the vocaloid voice fits quite well to the song like this; its tempo is slow and melody line is simple (i.e. fewer notes) and then each note is long enough to emphasize phonetic characteristics of Japanese.

I think I can understand what you mean very well smile

Good challenge! Maybe there are some. I am afraid, however, in this specific case, it might be difficult to use them because I used classical style language like most of lyrics before 70's, which is so much different from spoken languages.

Hi ...

Such a beautiful song! And the scenery in the video was stunning. This is excellent ... we totally loved it from beginning to end.

In February and March of 1966, I spent three weeks in Osaka and Tokyo. I was taken in by the scenery then, as we were in this video. Very beautiful! Thanks for the song and the video.

Hi Alan & Di,

Thank you for your comment. I am so happy that you enjoyed my music and especially my video.

Since I was born, I have lived in the areas in or around Tokyo. Nevertheless, I love Kyoto better than Tokyo. It is absolutely a place to visit. You can enjoy its beauty anytime of the year and anywhere there. I am happy that I could share the beauty of Kyoto with you. I must say, however, it represents just a very small part of it. If you have another chance to come to Japan, please do not forget to visit Kyoto.

Again, thank you for listening to my song and viewing my video.
