I would like an area on the forums where we could post suggestions for inclusion in the Familiar Songs list and optionally which styles might be used for the songs etc. PG could then review these and include any that are deemed acceptable in a future software update. PG would also need to determine which styles would work for each song just as they have for the existing list.
For example, I was recently trying to do a simple backing track for my local Church for "He's Got The Whole World in his Hands". I was surprised that this wasn't on the song list being such a well known song and it also took me ages to find a style with the right "swing" feel that worked. So it would be good to be able to submit this as a suggested addition.
The format could be something as simple as:
SONG: He's Got the Whole World in His Hands (Trad)
STYLE(S): =CSWNGMD.STY
Rec
BIAB 2022 UltraPAK, CbB, Studio One 5 Pro, Fender USA Tele, Harley Benton Fusion & others.

2nd thought, terrific idea, I'd love to see what styles people use for certain songs. THAT would save me hours of hunting for styles.

Great idea.
Finding the right style is getting more and more of a problem as the number of styles grows. PG has made improvements with the 2016 stylepicker's song search but it gives you very general suggestions based on time sig etc. ANYTHING that makes it more aimed at a specific song would be a big improvement.

I don't know if the many jazz tunes I've done in BIAB over the past two decades are in the master list, but if this requested area existed, I would go through and add my suggestions.

Be Careful ! At present time, the familiar song list contains mainly American or English songs.
So, my suggestion would be to get the ability to add user songs to the familiar list, in the same manner we can add user styles to the PG styles list.
Benefits would be:
(a) that would be very useful and gratifying according to the taste of everybody. We would get a personal list.
(b) that would take in account the international dimension of BIAB : each user of every country could add its own songs.

Excellent observation and thought John-Luke. One way to avoid the potential for the proposed song list to be dominated by American or English songs would be to have a separate list for each language edition and associate each list to an edition.
