This is a new song titled "Greetings from Spring". It is the greetings in the form of music from the spring which brings us joy and happiness. For this song, I used seven Real Tracks; bass, piano, guitar, sax, drums and two soloists (sax and piano). By using the soloists, the song has diffrent flavour from the songs I had posted so far. It is kind of new challenge for me. I hope you like it. As always, any feedback will be highly appreciated. https://soundcloud.com/hirokata1121/greetings-from-spring***EDIT-1*** I have uploaded the remix version of "Greetings from Spring" in which I have reflected the suggestions from the members who gave me their valuable comments so far. I believe this version is much better than the original. https://soundcloud.com/hirokata1121/greetings-from-spring-remix***END*** P.S. I had posted the HD version of the video "Visiting Beautiful Kyoto" on Youtube. https://youtu.be/Pd_hOux8liE *** Song Summary *** Title: Greetings from Spring Key=C , Tempo 100, Length (m:s)=3:31 Style: _ROOTSP2.STY (Rootsy Piano Pop) 1849:Bass, Electric, ModernCountrySync Ev16 100 1730:Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm PopRootsyJohn Ev16 100 793:Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming ModernCountrySync Ev 100 2350:Sax, Tenor, Background Funk Ev 110 (1TrackHornSection) RealDrums(in style): RockModernSyncEv16^1-a:Snare, HiHat , b:Snare, Ride Soloist(1): 2019: Sax, Tenor, Soloist PopCountryMark Ev 085 (Mark Douthit) Soloist(2): 1949: Piano, Acoustic, Soloist PopRootsyJohn Ev16 100 (John Jarvis) BIAB allows us one soloist only in a song, so I made two versions of the song (w/piano solo and w/sax solo) and mixed them into one song by using Sonar X3. ***EDIT-2*** The above statement is not correct. BIAB does not have such restriction. ***END***

Hi Hiroshi,
nice song, nice tune. I would mute the melody in the solo parts. Enjoyable listen though.

BIAB allows us one soloist only in a song... Uh, no it doesn't! You can easily have more than one soloist, even at the same time...unless your version of the program is quite dated, of course.

Hi Hiroshik, Here is what I note in your song : - The pitch of certain notes seems to be a bit out of tone. Is it a japanese (or oriental) particularity ? - The brass are very restrained, I think they could be more audibles.
Otherwise it is indeed a jolly (et jolie ;-) melody.

fj floyd, Thank you. I am glad you like my new song. I was concerned if the soloist parts match my melody. Hiroshi

Guenter Hi Guenter, Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I agree to your suggestion. In the solo parts, playing the melody with solos might reduce the effect of their nice plays. As a matter of fact, I muted the melody in the parts initially. What made me change it was the comment from someone who likes the melody so much Hiroshi

Thank you very much for your comment. I reread the manual carefully and have found the medley feature. I did know the pre-made medley but had no idea that one can create his own medley (customizable). I believe there are more features or tips that I just do not know. Thank you again for your kind comment. Hiroshi P.S. If I consider mixing three RTs, picking up the best parts out of them and arranging them serially or in parallel, I think it would be easier to use other DAWs such as Sonar or RealBand that can handle as many tracks as needed at once than to stay in BIAB and use the medley feature. The DAW plug-in mode is very easy-to-use. Maybe I am wrong here again

I agree with you Hiroshik, on my opinion too, to rework BiaB solos in a Daw (RB or other) is always necessary.

Sheers Pascal Hi Pascal, Thank you very much for your comment. I really appreciate it. As for the out-of-tune notes, I do believe it has nothing to do with Japanese nor oriental I have carefully listened to the song more than 10 times on PC or iPhone, by using original WAV and MP3, and on Soundcloud, I could not identify any out-of-tune notes though the tunes of two instruments I used for the melody part are a little bit unstable, so I gave up. Most probably, my ears are not good enough As for the brass, it should be due to my premature mixing ability using the console. Thank you for pointing it out. I am glad you enjoyed my song otherwise. Through the communication like this in this forum, I can learn a lot of things. They include how to use English (or French) especially adjective and idioms Thank you and all the members who gave me your comments. Hiroshi

Keep up the good work Hiroshi. The more you use BIAB the more you will improve as we all do. I must warn you though, that BIAB is very addictive and that you will have to pace yourself in order to manage your time efficiently(lol). I enjoyed your song. Sonny

Hi Sonny, Thank you for your comment and warning. I am glad you enjoyed my song. As to your warning, I am afraid I have been already caught up by BIAB Seriously, I have been caught up in fun to compose or create songs that is something I could not do without BIAB. I need to take care of myself! Hiroshi

Hi Hiroshi,
.... another very pleasant listen. As with your other songs, I just closed my eyes and travelled along with the music. It was an interesting tug-of-war to have the solo sax playing energetically in the background against and peaceful and relaxing melody.
All the best, Noel

Hi nice tune very melodic. May be the background, especially at the start, is too low, but I enjoyed it.

All the best, Noel Hi Noel, Thank you for your comment. I am glad you describe quite well what I think is the most notable point of the song; sort of mismatch between the melody and the solos. I thought it might be interesting and hoped that mismatch would give kind of magical charm to the song. (I could not find proper words here.) I am happy now you thought it interesting and enjoyed the song. Hiroshi

Hi Sergio, Thank you for your comment. I agree. Volume level of the melody part should be a bit lower compared with the backing parts. I am glad you yet enjoyed my song. Hiroshi

Really nice. Like others have commented, I found the solo conflicting with your melody at times, but not enough to ruin the song for me. It was 80 degrees here yesterday, so it feels like Spring already here. Steve
