is about our trip to Berlin last September. Of course we visited the wall, the part that is still unchanged, and the part that has been painted on by several artists back in the 80s. Rob was here about six years ago. By that time all the original artworks were more or less untouched. Six years later things have changed. Most artworks are covered and tainted with graffiti. We were struck by the lack of respect. It turns out that larger parts of Berlin have been smudged with graffiti.
A big thanks to Frank (Seeker) for his UserTracks!
Still we hope, that you like the song Any comments are welcome.

Wow! You've really outdone yourself with this song. I love the refrain/chorus when you move into lyrics at double the speed - very creative and very effective.
Everything about this song sits perfectly for me. Once again, the production shines and the video ices the proverbial cake.
Really excellent work!
Regards, Noel
P.S. Frank and his user tracks are amazing! He's a production factory and does such a great job!
Rob and Anne-Marie, as usual, you have delivered exceptional songwriting, no surprise there.
I really was taken by the dark feel you managed to portray throughout the song.
I was there a couple of years ago and recognized many of the places, but I think the graffiti is worse now. What a shame people don't have respect.
Your creation though was superb, and a fantastic choice of material.

With song and video you guys have captured the new depravity that grips Europe and the US. Here in the US we choose to blame the hippies from the 1960's morphing into the government and education establishment they protested against and hated. Not sure who you can blame over there. Maybe the Beatles?
I'm not making a political statement and I don't travail in the scourge of political science. Just saying, as you are in song, the depravity is here and the 60's hippies and socialists are in charge and they are all are happy as bed bugs.
Good song and video - and testament of the dark side.
Rob and anne-Marie, you move from a style to an other with so much ease and efficiency that it is breathtaking !! Musically perfectly set. And always video as bonus, awesome ! Pascal
No hay banda! There is no band! Il n'est pas de orchestra! No hay banda! And yet we hear a band ! (David Lynch - Mulholland Drive)
You've nailed this style so well. The intensity of the chorus against the verses really amps up the tone of the message in a such a cool emotionally real way.
The video is a perfect compliment to the song.
Also kudos on finding and incorporating user tracks. Speaking of user tracks there are so many I get lost - how do you (relatively quickly) find ones you want to use?
Thanks everyone for the very kind comments. Although not a happy subject, it was still fun creating the song. Guenter: indeed, we filmed it ourselves.
Josie: Using usertracks is actually a matter of (endless) trying out of all the available usertracks in the usertracks section of the forum. Within the Realtracks folder of BiaB there is a separate Usertracks folder. First: rename that folder to Usertracks 1. Create a new folder called: Usertracks. Put all the new downloaded (unzipped) Usertracks in that folder. Next, start BiaB, quickly create a song with the melodist. Load a usertrack on every channel, press 'generate and play'. As soon as the song start playing, set every individual track to solo and listen to the individual track.
Write down the UTs you like, keep them and throw the others away from your own created UT folder. Finally, cut all the UTs you want to keep an paste them in the Usertracks 1 folder. After that delete the 'empty' Usertracks folder and rename the Usertracks 1 folder to Usertracks. Kind of a workaround, but actually this is the fastest way to process lots of UTs.

We know nothing about how synths are used but, wow, you guys obviously do! The video and audio production make a STRONG statement, indeed. FWIW we see the video more from a "time passes and things change -- sometimes for the good, sometimes not" perspective than from a political agenda per se.
Like floyd said the "darkness" is so well done. And everything demonstrates your remarkably consistent high level of video and audio production.
Well done!

PS We detest grafitti -- the sheer pretentiousness of it is overwhelming.

Thanks! Well, the synth part wasn't all that hard, we replaced some of the MIDI tracks with the Ultra Anolog DXI synth which is very compatible with band in a box. Added some usertracks and we were good to go. I think this was our first 'Gesellschaft kritischer' lyric :-)
