Everytime I try to save a WAV file the program freezes or just crash. I recorded a guitar track on ProTools and so I upload this track into RealBand. Same BPM - 125! So I opened the chord wizard...made ajustments I ask to save the file and ... crash, freezes, boom...you named.
***YES - I have the last update installed.
***All I want from RealBand is: Recognize the chords and then save them as Acid Files (it does that with UserTracks and RealTracks).
***I have not this problem when the file (track) is generated by the program itself (using realtracks or usertracks).
I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP ON THIS CAUSE I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF A RECORD SESSION.
It may be that the problem is not RealBand itself, but a missing codec on your computer.
Do you have any other application that can save as a WAV file, perhaps Audacity?
It would be a good idea to try to create a WAV file (with the same settings as RealBand) using a different program, and see if you get any errors from that.
I have seen issues with creating MP3 files when the correct MP3 codecs were not installed.

Yes...I already did that by using Sound Forge and also Mixcraft and ProTools too ... to save as WAV file. Just to remember this file is a WAV file I recorded using ProTolls. All my UserTracks I recorded using ProTools.
Same problem...
Also now I tried to open a SGU (BB file) with RealBand and it just crash. Theres is something real wrong here...
I am using the new one 2016..upgraded from 2015 and all updates installed. It freezes as soon as I hit the "Save As" button... It just freezes and stays "like" thinking...and thinking...and it goes on and on. I need to Press (Ctrl+Alt+Del) to leave (exit) the program.
For the SGU files...doesn´t matter...anyone...I ask to open the SGU file, it opens that information page (that one that looks like a note page) and stays there forever.
I did everything I could. I am using this since 2011. Upgrading full packages every single year and now this!
You can try renaming these two files in your Realband folder: RB.CFG Realband.ini
Restart Realband .. you'll have to go through and check things like a new install, but it should 'reset' everything. RB will recreate the files. Try exporting. If it isn't better you can rename those files back, nothing to lose.
Another thing to try; open Task Manager and see if FP32.exe is running in the Processes tab, if it is highlight it and End Task. Restart RB.
Also, is this a case of a Windows 10/IE with the WMA codec issue? Can Media Player play WMA files? Can you export to WMA (Merge Audio and DXi to WMA)?

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!
I didn't see anything about audio interface/sound card either.
At this stage in his process, would the sound card matter? This transaction would be from software to hard drive with no sound involved and just through his USB cable. He is just trying to render to a wav file.
Can you save to a compressed (mp3) file as a test and tell us if you can do that?

Same problem...
1: Does "Same problem..." mean that WAV file doesn't work in ProTools also?
2: If you want to save Acid information, you should do this from the Render menu. You can even add Acid information to an existing WAV file.

Hi VideoTrack, I am sorry for not repling all the questions. As I told you before, I am in the middle of a full session (arrangement, recording, mixing) so as you know when someone is paying.. LoL ... the only thing you do not have is time.
About your question the installation is Ok. I do this since 2011 so the install process is not the problem. About saving - WAV only. Tried all the saving options ( WAV only ) and same problem happens.

Works perfectly (ProTools, Mixcraft, Sony etc.) I used ProTools to record the guitar track.
2: If you want to save Acid information, you should do this from the Render menu. You can even add Acid information to an existing WAV file.
Yes you can but it's pretty weird cause I just ask to save this simple WAV file ( remember the file is already WAV even before going to RealBand) and the whole software freezes and the only way youhave to leave is by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del .
I didn't see anything about audio interface/sound card either.
What are you using? Has it been connected and working for long?
I do not use BIAB or RealBand connect to anything. Both are used on my laptop for some production and creation purposes only (arrangements, realtracks etc).
No needed to have an interface connected to RB or BIAB cause the studio interface is AVID/ProTools for recording.
For all mixing (in the box) I transfer the files to Harrison MixBus 3.
