Okay this is a follow on from another thread, and Matt suggested it might be due its own thread  I was asked to provide an example of a RT that exhibits this behaviour and I was playing around with a tuen today and it came up again so I thought I would post it. The RT involved is 372 Guitar Acoustic Strumming Hank Sw 120. Chord chart is in key of C, and the chord entered is a Dm after Am in the bar previous. When generating, it randomly replaces the Dminor with a Dmajor.

OK, that seems pretty clear and we can try it. Remind us, what version of BIAB?

sorry, 2016. You might have to re-gen to see what is happening. It is rather annoying when I pre-listen and get about half way and decide yep that's all okay, then save to a wav import to Sonar and then somewhere in the last eight bars, BIAB has plonked this "opposite" chord. And I really don't have time to re-gen a song for ten or fifteen minutes hoping to get a "perfect" write haha! Seriously on some occasions it happens. Sometimes the wrong chord is in the first 8 or 16, so I re-gen and it goes from there only to re-appear at bar 34 or 60 or whatever..if it does this I give up and just write the guitar part in Sonar, much MUCH longer as I am not a guitarist and not as good, but, hey, needs must right

Once you have the audio in Sonar, cut a Dm from another section in the song and paste it over the C section. I do it all the time.

I know it's not a fix here, but this thread gives a good example why it would be nice to be able to regenerate partial tracks, as RealBand allows. Yes indeed. It leaves the question why it cannot be done? Perhaps a wilful omission to enhance the use of RB? Although as they are installed together I can see no logical reason why. I have not tried a re-gen in RB so I don't know if it works correctly there or not.But as I wrote above, it is not really the point. Owners should not have to find work-arounds for a basic operation in BIAB. It is, after all, one of it's main operations.

On the very first play, I heard D minor in bar 2 and D Major in bar 4.
