Greetings all.

After dealing with some mental health problems over the past few years (severe depression/anxiety)I finally got the urge the other day to pull out my music stuff and start playing around with it again. It took me forever to figure which wire goes where, finding drivers and all the other stuff that is needed in order to make a little noise. OK... lots of noise.

I've re-installed my old BIAB software (2008.5) and it was like I've never used it before... it was all new to me... again. The plan is to see how much fun I'm having, and then decide if I should be upgrading.

The problem I'm having is with the chord sheet. I am positive that the last time I used it (almost 6 years ago) I was able to type in 4 chords into one bar. I am not able to do this now. It only allows me to type in 2 chords on the first and third beat within that bar. Also, when I'm playing back my song, the bars are completely black as it moves from bar to bar.

I'm pretty sure that there is a setting that I'm missing that will allow me to get it back to normal. I just can't seem to find it. I even got out my BIAB manual to see if I would find something in there, but no luck. I'm hoping that perhaps someone here might be able to point me where to go to change a setting in order to get me up and running again?

So very much obliged!!!

Bobby

Welcome back to BIAB.

Type in your first chord then a comma then your second chord. On your third beat type your third chord a comma then your fourth.

Also using "C" for chord example - C... is hold
C.. is shot and C. is rest.

Bobby,

To type four chords in one bar, type the first chord to be played on beat one followed by a comma, then the second chord which will be played on beat two. Then navigate to the second half of the bar (usually by pressing the "Enter" key) and repeat the process - first type the chord for beat three followed by a comma, press "Enter" and type the chord for beat four.

The end result should look something like this: C, Am F, G

Many thanks to both of you for your help. It seems I'm up and running again!!!

I have had issues logging into the forums and am told it will be fixed shortly. And so in the meantime I have created another account so I can log in until my original account is back up.

With the way I'm playing right now, it might make the depression WORSE. smile
I put new strings on my guitar today. It's like it was way back when I was first learning how to play... my fingers are killing me!
