Hi all,

I am trying to improve my piano improvisation while singing.
Congratulations! You've been spared my singing. It's been a while since I posted...

This is an instrumental called "Doing my thing"

_Jazzswp.sty Jazz Swing Piano Trio
442:Trumpet, Older Sw 140 (Bluesy)
and a secret blend of piano vst (sorry forgot)

Thanks Rob,
hoping to sing soon as well.
Singing should structure the song better...
hoping to make some improvements this year

P.S having other singers adding their gifts; to my tunes is a bonus smile

Very cool and catchy vibe you've got here!! Has a retro feel. I could see this one with a big band arrangement. Very much enjoyed it! Take care. Greg

Thanks Greg

I've sent this song to a guitarist, might re-do this song to something more professional.

Thanks for your comment Trygve Larsen,
I sent the Song to a guitarist on Soundcloud.
Hopefully the beginning and ending can be "touched up" better.
I wrote the song quickly in a day.... just to get something going
to show I am still alive smile

Hi LPMan! I loved this! It has a very SPACIOUS sound to it... I was listening with head phones and when it first started I actually turned around to see what was making the noise behind me!

I take it that's YOU playing piano?? Man, you sound awesome! I think this is an uncommonly good instrumental offering! You did an absolutely masterful job of incorporating a recurring theme into your playing so it didn't sound like an unstructured jam session!

And your choice of instruments to accompany your piano are just PERFECT! The combination of your playing with these real tracks is so classy sounding!

Do you play live by any chance? If not, you're cheating the people in your town out of an opportunity to be entertained to the max by your music!

Now I want to hear a song that also includes your singing! If you aren't comfortable singing, there are some KILLER jazz vocalists here who might collaborate with you... Carolyne and Josie Beck are two who come to mind immediately.

But whether you add vocals or not, I think I could listen to you play all day! Great job! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Pat Marr
This is definitely the best review I have ever had period!
I was worried that it did sound like an unstructured jam session, it
could have had a better beginning and ending, and it could have been louder.
But I was happy, over all with the arrangement, and was too excited to mix it
properly, lol!

Well, Pat I play the keyboard in bed... hence LazyPianoMan
I have almost finished doing another Chord-mapping system.
The Song "Doing my thing" is a test of my latest mapping:
I wanted to know if what I am building is compatible with BIAB;
according to your review.... I would say the answer is "yes" smile

I have problems with my back, I have never played in a band...
But there may come a day...

My goal is to sing (gibberish first) while improvising on the piano;
Then find a singer to improvise with...

Thanks so much for your kind words & support!

P.S The Tethered 2016 link is where I share my chord-mapping
