well that was meaty !

Great seeing you again Gruve! great live feel and excellent dynamics! I especially like what you did with the guitar solo.. was that Amplitube?

I also like the break... the song flows from part to part seamlessly (one of your many strengths) and of course your vocals are always the main course when you serve up a tasty selection of sound for us to sample!

Hi, Lawrence!

Great to see ya back!

Great opening on this - the acoustics sounds great... drums, too...

Very tasty mix! The organ is so very effective! Nice "touches" all over the place - especially how you used the electrics. Nice job on the solo, too - getting the PopPromiseBrent to sound "fresh" (after using it a number of times in other things) takes some doing...

Great vocal - goes without saying, of course...

Awesome - top to bottom.

(I hope you will "share" a few tricks that you might have learned...)

Dang! That is a GREAT production and arrangement. It sounds tremendous on
our monitors. Nice soundstage and the balance is amazing. Everything is sitting
right, nothing is stepping on another and your vocal is just nailed in the delivery
and it's place in the mix. I have to join in with Pat and asked how you processed
the guitar solo? It is perfect for the song.

This forum is a BiaB showcase and, man, have you showcased!

PS We loved the reggae version and really liked the write. But you've taken it
to a new place with this. It sits very comfortably in either spot!

I really like this production. Kinda has a Hootie and the Blowfish vibe going which I have always loved. Great Job.

Hello Pat. Great to post again. Glad to hear its got a live feel to it. The solo guitar was run through my go to plug-in Guitar Rig 5. Just messing around with that baby is always a thrill.

Good hear from you and glad you liked it.

Hello Floyd. Good to be back. As I told Pat on the solo I used Guitar Rig 5. I find that it has so many useful presets and I'm beginning to use its bass rig more and more.

Glad you liked the mix. I've mostly been digging deeper into concepts of processing that I knew only in passing, like transients, and getting to know the FX I already have between Sonar's preloaded Fx and Izotope's. Man Izotope rocks! I just noticed they are up to ver. 7. I'm still on ver.5.

But one of the concepts I've very recently been learning about and applying is Mid-Side processing. Wow! What a difference that can make to an overall mix!

What are some of your tricks with mid-side processing?

Thanks again.

I remember this one!! Really liked the reggae one but I think I like this one better! Your vocals always kick a$$, and your mixes always have life and energy. Guitar solo is a great fit. Great job on this!! Take care. WELCOME BACK! Greg
