Strange pop-up modal boxes saying "Attenzione: preset not found" started showing up when the MIDI-Super-Tracks-Demos were loaded.

I have been working with a preset loading issue now for several days. For some reason the "X:\bb\MIDI SuperTracks - Demos" Folder has many Demo SGU's that do not seem to have some IKM-SampleTank2 presets defined. Previously, I had been trying to set the SampleTank2 presets using the SampleTank2 GUI, but then I realized that I should use the PG-Music-BiaB GUI instead. When I attempted to set the Hi-Q preset using the SampleTank2 GUI, the preset would not be remembered the next time that demo SGU was used; however, if I set the preset using the BiaB GUI, the preset could be set and remembered.

I accomplished that by right-clicking (context-clicking) the mixer in the BiaB GUI. I right click the piano-preset-field of the mixer-tab and the BiaB menu comes up. Then I choose the "Select Hi-Q MIDI Synth Patch" Option, selecting the appropriate Patch. Once I change the preset using this method, and save it using "SaveAs>>SongWithPatches-Harmony" and "SaveAs>>SaveSongAs" the new preset remains and the next time I open that SGU, I do not get that "Attenzione Preset Not Found (no longer sure exactly what the IKM error said anymore)" error. So far this issue ONLY occurs with Hi-Q piano presets in the Super-MIDI-Tracks Demos.

Since the error-pop-up says "Attenzione" in the Label field, it must be an IKM error message and NOT a PG-Music error message. PG-Music folks all are into maple syrup and NOT pasta. I know the IKM folks are Italianos.

When that IKM error pop-up occurs, on my machine, the pop-up then quickly hides underneath other windows. BiaB then appears to continue functioning, but that sneaky hidden modal-box keeps some of the BiaB machinery from working. Then subsequent memory-allocations are thwarted or un-garbage-collected or something. This then leads to out-of-memory errors and other issues crashing BiaB. Once I realized that the hidden pop-ups were doing their dirty work and digging down and closing them, the out-of-memory issues stopped.

Now I have mostly reworked/resaved the entire "X:\bb\MIDI SuperTracks - Demos" Folder and I no longer get any error messages because I have saved-down all the errant SGU's and remixed them as well. I have NI-Bandstand and it is way and above better than most multi-timbral VSTi's. Too bad NI axed it. Its problem was that it was too good for too little money.

However, SampleTank3 is dynamite with BiaB, but nothing loads automatically, so setting up the actual presets for SampleTank3 is a pain. The SampleTank3's guitar sounds are amazing, which is what BiaB needs. Bandstand's weakness was its crummy guitar sounds.

Anyway that is my analysis, for what its worth. BiaB really amazes me for so many reasons. It is one of the most complicated software packages that I have ever seen, and that it comes so close to non-glitchiness makes it above and beyond the call of duty in my book. Keep up the amazing work.

I have the Audiophile Version of BiaB-2016.
