No asterisks anywhere, Matt. I selected _CBALAD1.STY for "Have I Told You Lately" by Van Morrison, and then pressed Play. None of my edits are working???
I see the only way I can mute individual parts is when the Audio track is muted (red). I don't understand why this has to be selected to mute individual parts??? For example, what is the relationship between the individual tracks and the Audio track shown in the mixer? When I unclick the Audio track, the whole score gets much louder.
I'm completely confused, and the documentation is terrible at describing this. Help!
It sounds like you have rendered the song to an audio file. When BIAB opens, it will also open the audio file (if it's in the same directory as the song file) and load it into the Audio slot.
Under the "Audio" menu right at the top of the screen, kill your audio.
The mutes will then work properly.
What is happening is that you have your rendered file is playing simultaneously with your generated file. When you mute the generated track, the rendered file still plays and gives the impression that mute is not working.... hence why muting the audio file works.
Right, Noel explained nicely why I had asked if you had an audio file. If the audio file (rendered from BIAB or otherwise) has the same name as the BIAB song, and it's in the same folder, you hear both. It's actually a useful feature.
