When I look at my Biab songs folder in Windows Explorer, I am able to sort them by name, date modified, type, size etc and it shows columns for each. I remember I had to do a folder setting to have Explorer do this, but I can't remember where I made the setting. as shown here:
However, when I open a file within BIAB, using the OPEN menu, I can only see the biab files alphabetically and the other columns are Title, Contributing Artist, etc, kind of like windows treats mp3 or other media files. as shown here:
In previous versions of BIAB I used to be able to see the traditional explorer layout even when opening my biab song folder within BIAB.
I'd appreciate any ideas on how I can get the BIAB open window to look like my Windows Explorer window.
In Windows Explorer right click on folder, Properties, then Customize tab then select General Items and then if needed (for child folders) apply to all subfolders
I just tired this on a media folder. If the folder was seen by BIAB as a media folder initially, that is when you opened BIAB (this time) then it seems to "remember" that even if you just changed it in the Win Explorer.
It seems you need to exit BIAB then reopen BIAB and it should now be/display things as General items (if you changed it to that)

Larry, for some reason the customize tab was not available in Windows Explorer. It was available within the BIAB open dialog, but the changes didn't seem to make a difference.
Video Track. Your suggestion worked. Within the BIAB open dialog, I right clicked on a column and selected the column information I wanted. Now I can sort within the biab open dialog by name, date, etc. Thanks for the suggestion.

Really? BIAB aside, the Customize tab SHOULD be there in Windows 7 for all non-library folders

The article you linked in correct: The cusomize tab will not show if you look folder properties in the Library mode. The cusomize folder does appear when you look at the folder directly.
