Using 2012-350... making changes to a song, saving them... play the new version - it looks correct - changes are reflected in the view, but it plays the original version - tried saving with a different name, same result. Also, when I opt to change the guitar - it keeps the original choice... not sure if the 2 are related, but they are both frustrating to say the least....

Are the tracks frozen? If they are, you will see an asterisk after the name of each track button.
Yours is an older version of BIAB, but to unfreeze, I believe you can right-click on Combo (now called Master) and unfreeze all tracks.

No, the tracks are not frozen - the first problem I described was several bars of chords that I erased/saved - but on playback they were still there on the audio track, but were not on the screen...

pooch, Given that track are not frozen, it sounds like you might have a rendered audio of the first version playing along with the changed version. To check this, click on the Audio track on the top menu and mute it or 'kill' it.  Regards, Noel

No, the tracks are not frozen - the first problem I described was several bars of chords that I erased/saved - but on playback they were still there on the audio track, but were not on the screen... Frozen tracks would do just that. The next thing to check is the presence of an audio file with the same name as the song, in the same folder as the song, as Noel said. At first I didn't think that could be it because you said you changed the song name.

Can you create/test a brand new song and do the same procedure. Does that file act the same way?

It does sound like it needs regenerating to match the audio (RTs) up with the chords.
Frozen tracks would do this, but maybe its just a corrupted file .. I'd try to regenerate and use Save As to check the results.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
