I think the header really says enough.

Eddie,

I'm not sure what you mean. In BIAB/Windows, the setting is in "Song Settings". I could be wrong about this but I thought song settings were usually for individual songs and not global overrides. I'll need to investigate and work out if this is the case.

Regards,
Noel

I guess my presumption was wrong, then, so I'll elaborate:

What I mean by global in this case is that you can only set this in an "all-or-none" manner, which is what I don't like. Rather than that, I'm suggesting this feature should be relocated into the menubar of each track, akin to the 'freeze' feature.
I can name several instances where I'd certainly want the slash chords to be ignored by some instruments (eg. guitars), but definitely not all (pianos?).

Ahhh... I see what you mean. That's true. Piano and Organ usually need to have slash chords included because they often play bass notes. Sometimes guitars, too. For Mandolin, Violin, etc., slash chords are usually irrelevant and can sometimes produce some unusual sounding chords.

I agree +1

... this additional control would be useful. What I usually do is to generate some tracks with the slash chords and then others without them and then combine the result in Realband or a DAW. HERE'S A LINK to some thoughts I put together on slash chords a little while ago. It seems to be directly related to your request!

This could be useful on a track by track basis. +1

I also do workarounds as does Noel. This would be an improvement.

+1.

Like some of the other Windows users I also workaround by using multiple chord sheets in RealBand to regenerate individual tracks.

On the Mac front we have to use the 'freeze' trick to get there, since we got not RB.

Either end is not optimal, this needs to be improved - Fortunately it's relatively simple to do, so I remain fairly optimistic for a change.

>> "Ignore slash chords" should be in the RT's menus, not global

+1 Again for making "Ignore Slash Chord" a track-by-track option.

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
