A bit of information for the bassist/singers wanting a helping hand with a proper harmony @ the push of a button. It has opened up a lot of unused possibilities in our Duo of Country and Western Swing music. My setup is: an H.P. i7, Allen&Heath ZED 10X mixer, and 2016 Everything PK. The HP i7 has (2) headphone outs + (1) mic. in. The signal path from voice is: Mic. to in of a TC Helicon Mike Mechanic( my voice needs some help )out to the in of a TC Helicon Harmony Singer, out to the in of the mixer. Because of the multiple input stages of the voice, I set the Mike Mechanic and the Harmony Singer mild, @ around 10 o'clock and the mixer @ noon for a usable vocal mix @ input gain to equal around 3 o'clock normally. Now, something has to tell The Harmony Singer the key, chord variations all in step with what BIAB is playing @ that instant. The only thing needed is directions from BIAB. Pretty simple really, I have (2) head phone outs. Yours may need a workaround as a Y chord ( Tip Ring Sleeve ) always to the mixer. I fashioned a cord using a short stereo chord with a 1/8th male end, soldered to a 1/4" male guitar chord. Following are a few easy steps that may help. On the 1/8". chord end--strip insulation back enough to allow for easy soldering. I allowed a total length of 12" for this job.The tip and sleeve are joined ( Right & Left feed )and soldered to the center wire (tip) of the 1/4" guitar chord. And solder the remaining Ground to Ground. Wrap to insulate. Insert the home made 1/8" X 1/4" chord into the second head phone out. The other end sends the signal via. the Inst. in of the Harmony Singer. Do not use the Inst. out to bass amp. as instructed. Instead, go directly from the bass to the FX. or what ever, and then to the Bass amplifier in. The normal head phone out ( BIAB ) goes to the mixer as always. If you already have the Harmony Pedal, Make yourself a cable and have fun. It does work.--------Leon

This is my first post since last year. It has valuable information to benefit anyone using BIAB live. If you, or anyone in the band can sing correctly, one or two part harmony is only a button push away. I would think that P.G. Music would check this out. So far, no one is interested enough to comment. I remember now, why I stopped even opening this forum.-----Leon

There's only a few people doing this sort of thing. I didn't get a response back to my video on changing midi patches / cc commands. It was fairly poorly recorded and it's a niche interest.

I think it's a fairly small group of BIAB users that uses voice technology with BIAB live. Even Youtube has little on eg Voicelive 2 now. Nothing personal.

Personally, I use a Voicelive 2 which does everything in one box. As it's been around for a while they are quite cheap. The Voicelive 3 Extreme would be the go to machine if you had sufficient money. A lot of people are songwriters / home studio buffs. I find I get amazing help with the recording side of things. Check out the number of people who read your post not the responses to get a feel for who is looking at what you write. grin
