I most likely use Guitar RealTracks DI´s in my DAW re-amped with some Amp Simulation (e.g.Amplitube). In some situations I have to replace one or two measures (or even just some beats) by a real guitar (played by myself) to better match the song. In this case my guitar sound should preferably match the RT guitar sound as much as possible to make this little operation invisible.
Question: is there a list of guitars available used during the record sessions?

SC As far as I can tell, the Real Tracks recording artists are mentioned, but the instruments played in their recordings are not generally promulgated. There have been exceptions with keyboards, but not with other instruments that I am aware.
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.

That's how I understand it too, Trev. I suspect it has to be like this because the calibre of artist that PG Music use often endorse products and sometimes those endorsements change over the years.

I don't believe that knowing the brand of guitar is very helpful. I believe that brand of strings and their gauge, the pickup used (bridge, middle, neck, or any combination of those) and the control knob settings are more useful than the guitar. Also some information about the amp and it's settings would help. Take this one for expample https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK_VPjuO--kHave somebody else start that video at about 6:00 and listen to the guitar and take your guess. Or Erroll Garner's Misty on different guitars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFuvEWixzAQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8uUSp-P2nkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZo8vDbqJAchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-dCXGp4lCUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cJnHbQ1ljwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FM80dJRVHRI

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Plugins/Red-Shift.shtml RedShift allows you to replace the tone of your guitar's pickup with a huge list of alternatives and provides you the versatility you need without having to spend money on several guitars. From active rail pickups to lipstick-style single coils, from warm 50's humbuckers to high output modern varieties, RedShift covers every style of playing. Additionally, Red Shift allows you to change the material that makes up the body of your guitar. In addition to providing a variety of woods, AcmeBarGig decided to provide you with some more interesting options. Guitars made of pyrex, granite, and even human tissue, are available for those who aren't afraid to experiment. Features: Simulate replacing your guitar's pickups and its material. Bypass the material changing section if you just want to change the pickups. Get tones out of your guitar that you had never imagined to be possible. Volume adjustable in three stages of the processing.
