When I make my necessary changes to chords and play back while in BIAB, everything is exactly what I want, but, when I render the song out to individual wav files, BIAB ignores the F5 settings.. what am I doing wrong?
In other words, I tell it to stop playing an instrument at a chord and chorus, which it does, but, when rendered, it ignores those settings and renders the instrument out the entire song.

Have you tried it on a second file in case there is a corruption in that particular song? Have you checked that you're not merging a audio file in the render process (setting in dialogue) Is it Midi or Realtrack (Midi might be a VST issue)

No audio file is used. It renders each complete track, less the F5 chord settings. I just want one instrument to stop playing after one chorus, but, it doesn't. It plays correctly inside of BIAB.

That is not what it should do. Upload the song file so others can verify.

[quote=Beachboy] It plays correctly inside of BIAB. What are you using for your synth CoyoteWT? If not you might try and see if it is the plugin you're using by using CoyoteWT. Have you tried it in another song? Does it render if you try muting an instrument for a couple of bars in the same chorus?

Have you tried re-booting the computer and BiaB?
I haven't had this problem, but I have had problems where BiaB ignored other changes I've made.
It can get very stubborn.
When that happens I save the file, close BiaB and re-open.
That usually works, if not I'll do the same but also re-boot the computer.
That sometimes works when the other failed.
I don't know why.

Well, thanks for the tips everyone.. I have no clue why this is happening, so, what I will do is just edit out what I don't want.
Cheers

Don't see how to upload the song... All I should need is the MGU file correct? . Simple, go register for the free DropBox account and you will have a "public" folder which you can paste the file into then you copy and paste the URL for the file into the forum.

Also be aware there is more than one method in BIAB to render a project. Try each method.
However, you can always render (export) the stereo project live and record the audio output in any recording software, like Audacity

I have done your second method before, but, I found for some reason, the audio quality had dropped significantly. Just did not feel right..

Works OK at my end when rendered as single file or individual tracks. Organ plays bars 1-12 muted on 13-24 both 1st & 2nd chorus.
The reason I mentioned CoyoteWT. I stopped using rendered midi some time back because I found that "some" 3rd party VST's did not always respond to my Bar Settings (I use them extensively. (Maybe because BIAB is/was DXI based??) These days I drag my midi components elsewhere DAW) and render there. However, CoyoteWT seems to work fine (I just don't like its sounds). So...if you are using a third party VST that might be the trouble.

The only other VST I have is just the one that came with BIAB, SampleTank. It's isn't being used here though. I agree on the sound quality of Coyote and all, but, just to get it moving, I just use that as a "place" holder, sort of speaking. I appreciate your time and effort. Just perplexing, lol. I have a few more options and I am not really "stuck" on this..

I noticed that when I unfolded the song one long chorus (EDIT>SONG FORM>UNFOLD...), then checked how the Bar Settings "unfolded" - they didn't unfold correctly which might be a PG Music problem. Might be worth asking support to look at it.
