Danny, Just checking - saw y'all had "historic" flooding over that way.

Hoping all the other LA folks here are okay too.

Yes Josie,

In fact this is the 1st I have been able to respond to anyone as since yesterday afternoon we just got wifi in the hotel we are in, it's a Casino, go figure.

We were in Georgia during the rain and flood and now can't get home. We know our neighborhood (which was high ground) was evacuated but not sure at this time if our house is flooded or not, I guess we will know when we can get home or communicate with someone there when phones service resumes.

My Daughter/Patty is taking care of Marley our dog and we know they are fine.

Of course all of my gear is on floor level, PA's Guitars, including a Gibby 330 1st issue. But others I am sure have it much worst as all of our family are safe and accounted for.

Thanks for checking, we are fine just kind of anxious.

Regards to all!

Thank God my brother from a different mother that you and Linda are safe! I pray that your house has no damage.

PS - what are the odds of the WiFi being out at a Casino?

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

Hang in there Danny. If you're on high ground, you'll be fine. Not knowing is a killer though.

Our thoughts are with you Danny; glad you and your wife are okay and I hope everything at home is okay when you get there.

Just a thought... doesn't Russell also live in your parts?

Been wondering about you and happy to hear that you and the family are OK.

It's hard to comprehend the suffering that many there are experiencing.

Keep Looking Up!

Thanks, Josie...

The flood has been a nightmare, but we have survived and that's the most important thing. Thanks for your concern.

I heard from Danny today, via email. he has been without internet for a while.

However, he feels very blessed and fortunate that his house survived intact, high and dry.

He feels deeply for those around him who are displaced and suffering.

Kajun Jeaux,

So glad to know you and your family got out safe. I saw the aerial footage of the flooding in Baker - it is just unbelievable.

You're in our prayers.

Got a very welcome email from Danny yesterday confirming the above. I know Danny is a tenacious survivor but I was worried by his silence. Quite relieved to know that you and Linda are safe, old phart!

Gear can be replaced - wonderful friends can't be.

Update . . . . After 3/4 days trying to get back home we made it a few days ago. And other than our daughter Patty having to go through emergency gallbladder surgery (she is doing fine now) through the monsoon we were truly blessed. In fact we were "Soooo Blessed" to be one of the few out of the more than 10,000 homes and business' who were not flooded in Livingston Parish La. I am still in awe. I am not sure when we will have internet services again, and phone service is spotty at best I have postponed all eConcerts are until further notice. LOL, that will give me more time to try out my set-list at live gigs.

Now with that said we have plenty of food, A/C, dry floors, dry beds, plenty of toilet paper and even "dry drawers" to change into, we are so much more fortunate than the thousands around us who were not so lucky. With this said, other than the sadness felt for our neighbors, life indeed is wonderful.

Thanks so very much to those if you who have reached out to check on us, we will never forget it.

PS: How lucky am I? My town Denham Springs, La. alone . . . 90% of homes and business flooded, 75% totally lost, and we are dry, WOW!

Thanks again, you cats rock!
