After loading ultrapak, I have noticed that some real styles have midi drums.
is this the norm.
note....this is r not rm as I know rm is real and midi.
Colly Thanks for the request.
re: "note....this is r not rm as I know rm is real and midi."
There's no need to be cryptic among us. We're all friends. Please feel free to use full words in your sentences so that others can exactly understand your intentions and definitions more fully.
Which Real Styles have MIDI drums? Can you please give examples(s) so we can verify and give accurate responses.
Cheers
Trevor

Oh, OK, perhaps I got lost with the lack of sentence casing r, rm etc, and the O/P was apparently referring to column headings of the Stylepicker which wasn't mentioned, oh, never mind.

As I understand it, the reason midi instruments are sometimes displayed is because a number of styles based on Realtracks are modified midi styles.
If the above is the case for a particular style, and a specific track is not used in creating the style, this track will show a default midi track. Such a track does not contribute to the sounds in the style, though.
If, on the other hand, a style's creation is not based on an existing style, and particular track is not used, this track's name will have white writing and no instrument will be present. (e.g ZZJAZOLD.SGU).
The problem here is that RealStyles are based on underlying MIDI styles. I looked at it in the StykeMaker and those two instruments are defined, but there are no patterns associate with them so they don't actually play anything. They probably should have excluded those tracks from the style.
If you listen, you will hear neither drums not bass. PG Music should probably fix this.

Thanks John, could you clarify 'brother drums'?
