So I have looked through the drums in BB and RB several times and can't seem to find this so maybe someone here has found this already...
I am looking for a Kik drum sound only in a straight rhythm pattern that does what is called (in my mind) a 1 - 1-2 pattern.
Like the kick drum pattern that would be in the song "Be My Baby" by the "Ronettes".
Thanks

If you can't find what you need, you can use Free Drum VSTi MT Power Drummer or use it to make up a usertrack drum. You can edit the midi loops in RealBand so you just have the kick drum. There is good info here http://www.realband.org/tutorial-utd.html

That;s not something I've ever found in RB/RD.... I also was looking for a simple 4 on the floor pattern.... not there... so grab a drum synth and create it. That pattern is so easy to write.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Tony, In addition to the above.... At the very end of every Realdrum file the individual drums are played. Simply load the Realdrum track you like into Realband, scroll to the end of the file, find the kick drum and copy it to beat one on a new track. Also copy it to beat three. You can then use RB to save the bar with beats 1 and 3 in it to an audio file as a loop. This loop could then be loaded into BIAB. Regards, Noel

Noel,
I understand what you are saying but I have no idea where I find what you are talking about...
"Simply load the Realdrum track you like into Realband, scroll to the end of the file, find the kick drum and copy it to beat one on a new track."
Scroll to the end of the file in RB?...There is nothing there the song ends...
I am confused...??

Go to real drums folder \bb\Drums
Set RealBand to the tempo you need or open the sgu from biab.
Drag in the wma or wav file from the drum folder closest to the tempo.
Open the txt file look at the bottom and it will show you what shots it has, but most kick have other hits with them.
If you right click on the drum track you can change the tempo.
Align the track then turn on snap you can now highlight a section, use ctrl+alt to drag it to a new track.
Drag the newly made drum track out of RealBand, rename it to the same name as the sgu song and put it in the same folder now open the sgu song in biab and you should have the new drum track in the audio slot.
I think that's what Noel was talking about.

Antho,
When you select a RealDrums the Band-in-a-Box or RealBand program finds an audio file, cuts out parts of the audio file, regenerates or combines the partial audio parts into a new audio file and plays the new audio file each time the play button is clicked. This process is repeated each time the drum track is regenerated.
Neal is suggesting you find the original RealDrum audio file. Copy the RealDrum wma or wav audio file into RealBand or a DAW. Toward the end of most RealDrum audio files are single hits of each drum instrument used to record that RealDrum audio file. You can use these single drum instrument hits as source material to create your own drumtrack.
If you just need a bar or two of kick drum only, create a new audio track, copy and paste the kick drum single hit into the locations you want. Then mute the RealDrum audio track for a bar or two and play the kick drum audio track.
If you are going to many bars then you most likely want to create a midi track then use a VSTi to read the midi track and play the drum hits.
